"We were warmly welcomed to this pretty hotel set on a hill lush with trees and flowering plants. The pool is inviting and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a beautiful drive to Atenes along a good road (Route 3 through San Mateo) from the west, and it was an easy shot to SJO airport the next day. "I loved Selva Color for a place to stay near Carara National Park and the village of Tarcoles, where you can see the gorgeous Scarlet Macaw Parrots, many other beautiful birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. 10 minute drive.
