Winter Get-away
The four of us enjoyed our stay in this Loiza neighborhood condominium complex. The condo was clean and had most amenities that we needed. In addition, a hair dryer is not listed but the bathroom has a hair dryer. (a bonus) No blankets were needed. The beds were comfortable and new, the bedding clean and adequate for the temperature of the place. Bring your own shampoo and hand soap since there are none in the bathrooms but there is plenty of toilet paper. The kitchen is adequately equipped for cooking and eating some meals in-house but bring your own salt and pepper. The website states the check-in keys are kept in the lockbox at the car parking space 170 but in actuality the lockbox at space 170 is broken so the keys are in the lockbox at space 240. That was a little confusing but a quick call to the owner Michael who responded quickly solved the mystery. The Loiza Bakery nearby had great pastries and sandwiches. The family owned El Parrilla restaurant down the street had delicious, authentic local seafood at a very reasonable price. The pool was clean and there is a beautiful local beach Playa Vacia Telega about 2 miles away whereby beach chairs can be rented for $5. Pool noodles and children’s beach toys are in the condo closet. The condo is central to the rainforest, Fajardo kayaking or downtown Old San Juan historic sites. Overall great place and location to enjoy cultural PR. Thank you Michael.
