Welcome to Villa Stephanie, a beautiful, unique, large, and luxurious Spanish beach house with pool, conveniently located in the prestigious, gated neighborhood of Ocean Park, San Juan.
(THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, CLOSE TO OTHER HOMES.
SORRY, NO EVENTS ALLOWED.
NO BACHELOR'S, BACHELORETTE PARTIES.
NO MUSIC OR OUTSIDE NOISE PERMITTED AT NIGHT.)
Villa Stephanie is located 3 short blocks and a 5 minute walk from Ocean Park's beach, probably the best beach in metropolitan San Juan.
From the moment that you enter the house you will be captivated by its beauty, with all the attention to detail, thanks to a remodel by re known interior decorator Gretchen Daubon, making this one of the best and most luxurious available large beach houses in San Juan. The recent remodel includes a new pool area, landscaping , furniture, kitchen appliances, and decoration.The house has 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, sleeping a total of 14 persons max.The rooms are distributed as you enter the house follows:
1 To the right, on the first floor, a masters size bedroom with king bed
2 Also on the first floor, a room with a double bed.
These two first floor bedrooms share a bathroom.
As you reach the second floor after taking the stairs,
3 to the left, a room with a set of bunk beds sleeping 4
4 another room with queen bed sleeping 2.
These two rooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom.
5 Then there is a masters suite with king bed, walking closet, bathroom, and access to a large terrace overlooking the pool.
The terrace also has a nice siting area.
Downstairs, there is a formal dining room siting eight, kitchen, and a large family area with a comfy sofa, large screen tv and a round breakfast table.
The living area opens to a beautiful covered terrace thru glass french doors. The terrace has a large bar with surrounding stools and siting area which overlooks the pool and pool side cabana. The pool side cabana sleeps two and has its own bathroom which also doubles as pool bath.
The house is fully air conditioned, has fast wifi, and cable tv.It also has back up power generator and water cistern, very important in the tropics for continued power and water supply after tropical systems.
Villa Stephanie provides a great base for a beach vacation. However, it also provides a great setting to explore San Juan and the island of Puerto Rico.
Villa Stephanie is located close to numerous high quality restaurants to satisfy the most demanding palates.I will also provide you with a list of recommended restaurants nearby , in San Juan and across to Island for you to explore.
There are also several pharmacies, and grocery stores nearby.
In addition Barbosa park is 2 minutes walk away. There you have a jogging track, tennis courts,
kid play area and a police station.
The house is extremely well located only a 5 minute ride from the airport, 5 minutes to Condado and La Placita de Santurce with its multiple bars and restaurants, 2 minutes from Loiza street and its culinary row, and 10 minutes from the magic of Old San Juan.

Fun, cute place!!
Such a cute house - stayed here with friends and we all had a great time. Loved the pool and it was a great location to everywhere. The property manager was super sweet and accommodating as well! Would stay here again :)

2024 Tropical Vacat
House was as good as the listing, lots of room for all eight of us. Location was ideal, close to beach, grocery store, and restaurants. Ruben greeted us and gave us a tour of the house. Definitely recommend this house and location for anyone visiting Puerto Rico with a group.

Loved Villa Stephanie!
Had an amazing stay here! Ruben was great and the house was perfect for our group. Only complaint was difficulty getting Ubers bc of there only being one entrance in the compound. However, the house was very centrally located, quick rides everywhere we went. The pool and outdoor area was the best part!

Great property for a great price
Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed having enough space to spend time together, as well as quietly apart. The backyard, alone, is worth renting this house! What an oasis! Location is fantastic - just 10 mins from the airport. Only downside is the neighborhood has very mixed housing (some nice, some not) and bathrooms could be updated. But our family felt safe, had a blast and would absolutely stay here again

If you don't mind roosters and horns going off continually throughout the day and night it's an OK place. The manager was excellent and took care of our concerns. When it's listed as a neighborhood house, that means it is very tightly packed with houses.

A great house in an interesting neighborhood.
Ruben was a great property manager. The place is nice and situated in an interesting area. For the new visitor, it’s important to know that the neighborhood is not as rough as it might seem. Nice restaurant selection to the west and walkable. Everything else you can drive to, so a rental car is a must. The pool is nice and it makes for a great spot for a group of friends to visit.

Lovely entertaining home!
We were in PR for our son's wedding with family. All couples enjoyed their rooms and amenities. The outdoor area with pool, BBQ and bar area was where everyone spent most of their time. Only downside was no closet space in the Master Suite. I would highly recommend.

Villa Stephanie - April 2023
We were in Puerto Rico for my daughter's wedding. Villa Stephanie was awesome! We had 14 adults and we did not feel cramped. The host provided a welcome basket that included a bottle of Puerto Rican rum and coffee! We really enjoyed lounging around the pool, and there is a little grocery store and several restaurants within walking distance.

Amazing experience
This Villa is exactly how pictures look! Plenty of space for our family and updated features were so nice. Air conditioning works great. Cooler was nice to take on our adventures. We loved the chickens, cats and lizards in the neighborhood for the kids:) Our favorite thing was the outdoor living space! We spent most of our time out there. Short Family Stay
Myself and my family of 5 stayed at this location last month. We picked this property mainly due to it's location in a gated community, being conveniently located near our places of interest while also being far enough away out of the main city for a peaceful stay. Overall the property was lovely, very spacious, pool was delightful and a walk away from the local beach. True to advertisement. One underrated feature was the fridge had it's own water filter eliminating the need to buy water bottles which is an issue I frequently run into at other stays. We had no issues over the duration of our stay and the property manager was polite and attentive. Would strongly recommend to anyone who is staying in San Juan and needs a base.

AMAZING stay at Villa Stephanie! Can't wait to go back!
I had the most amazing trip to PR and Villa Stephanie was a 5 star property. The house is brand new and the appliances are top of the line. I went with a few girlfriends and we had a blast. My favorite part of the house was the spacious deck which was perfect for our morning coffees or happy hour glasses of wine. Jose, the owner, was absolutely amazing. He recommended the best restaurants in the area and gave us a long list of "must do's" around San Juan. The beach is a super close walk and we ubered everywhere else. I highly recommend this house to everyone looking to stay in San Juan!

Pre-Wedding Celebration
We were a group of 7 family & friends gathered for a pre-wedding celebration. The pool, wet bar & outdoor sitting area were the center of our gathering everyday as they were the perfect place to start the days talking, relaxing & having a bit of fun in the sun. House was spacious, clean & lovely with enough bedrooms & bathrooms to make our stay very comfortable. Short walking distance to the beach. Less than a mile away from Supermax for groceries & essentials & they deliver - an added bonus. Very easy to Uber in & out to other destinations. The manager, Ruben, was accommodating & facilitated our stay. Thanks to the host for providing his home. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay at Villa Stephanie!!
Wow! Just came back from a girls getaway weekend at Villa Stephanie. We were actually the first guests to stay at the property and the experience was just marvelous! From the beginning Jose, the owner provided us with much needed information such as restaurant recommendations and things to do. His recommendations were spot on, specially his broad list of restaurants. The house has undergone a thorough remodel with a professional decorator and it shows. However, what we enjoyed most was hanging out by the pool area and bar. The area is beautiful and inviting. We used Uber to go everywhere and it was a breeze. Finally, The beach is only a five minute walk away thru a private gate on the end of the street. To sum up, I totally recommend Villa Stephanie for those who appreciate quality, and style in a comfortable setting in San Juan.

Beautiful home!
I was disappointed about the communication with the property manager. Every time I text him and didn’t hear back, and then I called he referenced the text but never responded. I was also very disappointed with the cleanliness and the upkeep of the property. Lightbulbs were out vents were very dirty under the beds was filthy and the tile floors were an absolute safety hazard. We enjoyed Puerto Rico and will be going back next year

Beautiful home
We loved the home it worked well for our needs.Rubin was very responsive when we had questions five stars. I would suggest having the basic spice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and olive oil, spray Pam. I would also suggest a few extra rolls of paper towels and toilet paper with a housethis big we ran out of TP with in the first 2 days. So be prepared and purchase some on your first trip to the store. The chairs each chairs and cooler where a great addition. Love the house and set up. If you use the restroom in the middle of the night I wouldn’t suggest staying in the first room to the right. It was cozy and wonderful but you can miss the step and go for a ride. The beds are really comfortable and master was perfect for the newlyweds with the private balcony. Over all great house and host.

Five star property with three star maintenance
Overall, a great property. Eight adults stayed there comfortably. House felt safe, secure, and private. The large shaded patio and private pool were wonderful. The property manage was wonderful and very helpful. I just wish I hadn't need to call him so often. Much of furnishing seemed like it was picked up at garage sales. No dressers in upstairs master, so we lived out of our suitcases. Kitchen needs lots of maintenance: under cabinet lights not working; hood light and fan not working; dishwasher very loud and door didn't fit well; microwave difficult to open. Leak in downstairs bedroom when it rained. Shower handle broken in cabana. No fan in Jack and Jill bathroom and mildew around window. These are probably related. Batteries in many of the remotes (TVs and ACs) should be replaced. Upstairs patio is huge but lacks any shade. An information sheet with basic information about the house and neighborhood would be helpful: This is a private community with only one access point from Calle Guerrero Noble. Most GPS systems (except Waze) don't know this. Instructions on the security system would be helpful. Instructions on how to turn on the generator following a blackout should be provided. It was easy, but not intuitive. There are a couple closets filled with random stuff. Overall, a good property that could be a great one.

Love Love Love Villa Stephanie!
Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Stephanie, and we'd definitely love to come back! Location is fantastic - just 10 mins from the airport, less than a mile away from Supermax for groceries & essentials, several restaurants within walking distance, and a very short walk away to the local beach. We were 5 adults, a teenager (16), and 4 children (11, 7, 1 and 6 months), and the Villa supported and nurtured us wonderfully, though we did have to do some child-proofing for our toddlers. Our check-in was easy-peasy; Ruben, the manager was great to deal with. The place was beautiful, and absolutely true to the video! It was clean and stocked with everything we needed, including an abundance of towels and a large kitchen stocked with pots, pans, tools in addition to enough dishes and glassware for all of us. The host also provided a welcome basket that included a bottle of Puerto Rican rum and coffee! The house was spacious, clean & lovely with enough bedrooms & bathrooms to make our stay very comfortable. The bedrooms were neat, clean and comfortable; same with the bathrooms. Plenty of TP and towels. We really enjoyed the the outdoor living space, the pool, wet bar & outdoor sitting area; we used the massive grill a few times. Only 2 issues I'd cite were the plumbing (2 of the showers were inoperable), and the Wi-Fi was quite weak. A call to Ruben on the plumbing resulted in a service person within 2 hours. All good after that. I highly recommend this property!

Great vacation in San Juan
The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 5 adults well. The house manager, Rueben, was wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. The house was tired and small details surprised us (chipped bathtub in both upstairs bathrooms, light switches were dirty, only one kitchen towel, etc). The neighborhood was very urban and some houses upkept while others weren't. The beach down the street was close but small and had a lot of seaweed on shore. It was hard for Uber drivers to navigate the security gates, so we found it easiest to meet them outside of the gate. Some of the items on the information sheet were dated (no pantry items included, not even salt/pepper - due to COVID, many of the restaurants are now closed) so would be helpful if that could be updated. Also, there is a grocery store just outside the gated neighborhood (Plaza Loiza) that we found reasonable and well stocked w food and beverages and only about a 6 min walk from the house. Kitchen well stocked (except for kitchen towels and pantry as previously mentioned). We bought bottled water, but there is a filtration system inside the refrigerator. Overall, we had a great stay but the house could use some updating.

Complete Deception
General Cleanliness: Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was that all the bathroom were filthy and full of mildew all over the shower curtain, tub and window sill. The tubs were all chipped and look dingy so the kids were not able to take bubble baths. All the bedsheets had stains on them. We took off all the sheets and wash them but still it's unacceptable. To think the cleaning fee for this property along is $$$ and this is what you get. Pool: Throughout our time at the property, I had to call Ruben to get the pool cleaned twice because the walls kept getting green/yellow and look like mildew. After cleaning we couldn't use the pool for a few hours. Literally a waste of the day each time. The pool filters barely work, when I told Ruben he said it's on a timer and that normal practice isn't to have the filter stronger. Pool House Suite: Every time it rained which was nearly everyday (even if just for small interval), the bathroom wall would leak a lot of water. There was so much water that the entire bathroom floor to the bed itself was soaked. We had to constantly mop and place towels to avoid slipping. We recorded a video as proof to show Ruben. He also came to see it in person and sent a contractor to repair but the issue persist throughout our entire stay. Master Room Balcony (2nd fl): I was getting undressed with my daughter and noticed the camera on the balcony faces into the room which is an invasion of privacy. *There is so much more but not enough space.*

Great location and home for big families
We rented this home in July 2022 for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Reuben was the house manager, and was absolutely fantastic! He met us at the house for check in and check out. It was a bit confusing how to get in the gated neighborhood, but once we figured that out, it was easy to access and very close to the beach. We chose to drive to Isla Verde beach rather than stay at Ocean Park because there was more shade. The home did have beach chairs, but no umbrella. The pool house bed was categorized as a queen, but it is definitely a double bed. We had planned for adults to stay in the pool house, but it worked out ok that a teenager stayed there. Also, the king bed on the main level had a massive divot in the mattress. I saw this mentioned on a prior review and couldn't really tell what that person meant, but I can confirm that bed needs a new mattress. I mentioned this to Reuben the house manager upon check out. The kitchen was well stocked with basics, more than any other rental we've stayed in. There were things like coffee, filters, aluminum foil, cooking spray, multiple coffee makers and blenders, plenty of dishes, dish and laundry detergent, trash bags. The pool was smaller than it appears in the pictures, but still a good size for our family. The hammocks and the bar were fantastic, but the outdoor sofa and chairs didn't have any cushions so weren't as comfortable. We did bring one lounge chair from the upstairs balcony down by the pool, because for 10 people, only the 2 loungers wasn't enough. Uber was very cheap to Old San Juan and other sites suggested by the host. We brought in a local chef (Marimar Fernandez) for two dinners, and she was incredible! Worth every penny. Overall, I would recommend this house for location, size and proximity to the airport.
