Gear up for a vacation of outdoor activities and thrill-seeking adventures in San Luis Province. San Luis Province makes up the eastern section of the Cuyo Region. It has a scenic countryside of dams, hot springs, lush savannahs, mountains, rivers and salt flats. This striking landscape has made the province a popular filming location for both national and international commercials and movies.

San Luis city is a good place to start your tour and arrange excursions to the province’s natural attractions. Chat with locals at the city’s central Plaza Pringles, framed by the neoclassical San Luis Cathedral. Learn about provincial history at the San Luis History Museum.

Within about an hour’s drive of San Luis city are many interesting towns and attractions. Walk on the Salinas de Bebedero salt flat, bathe in thermal pools at Balde and relax on the shores of a reservoir in Potrero de los Funes. Sail and fish for trout on La Florida Dam in El Trapiche and take a guided tour of a gold mine in La Carolina. Enjoy serene picnics on the banks of the Volcán River, which has access to waterfalls and swimming holes.

Visit the town of Merlo and experience the tribal customs of the Comechingón people at the nearby Yucat Theme Park.
