"Beautiful property to stay at. The grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful pool (unheated but nice and cool on a hot day!). Wonderful coffee shop. Very nice restaurant (I used for breakfasts).
The architecture of the newer buildings (restaurant, coffee shop, tea house) is really nice and modern and fits wonderfully in with the rustic feel and look of the old tobacco barns.
The guest rooms are nicely appointed, however they are old and need some maintenance to update them. I saw a couple...
"Arrived late on a Tuesday and things were dark and office unmanned but soon sorted by the manager. We awoke to find the darkness was hiding a hidden delight literally 400m from the bustling 108 road. A lovely tranquil setting, comfortable suites, extremely friendly staff with wonderful food make this a lovely place to come outside the hurly burly of downtown Chiang Mai. Airport about 45 minutes drive away. Great for all the attractions in the south like Mae Weng, Doi Inthanon and others."
"The hotel is very close to many restaurants and points of interest. The beaches are close by.The Staff were extremely helpful. The room size was fine, but could be improved as there are too many light switches. Hard to remember which switch connects with respective lights."
"Amazing experience, hotel highly recommended. Not in the old town, but in an area close to bars and restaurants. 5 minutes taxi drive to the old town. "
"Very beautiful and comfortable suite with personal pool. This has a small kitchen but has no plates, bowls, eating or cooking utensils? Should at least have bottle opener/cork screw for romatic drinks. This is good for secluded retreat. Not good area if you want to walk and shop and eat and drink. Nowhere to walk to. Last morning water too low to take shower??? I think isolated event. Not normal. Very nice place to stay for seclusion and romance."
"Hospitality and respect for travellers. One thing that impresses me the most is that we left a tips for the cleaners in the room without mentioning anything. And the money remained there when we came back to the room. It turns out that the staff is so conscientious about travellers’ property that they didn’t even dare to take the tips. We then needed to leave the tips together with a thank you note.
Really impressive!"
"A pretty modern hotel with a great breakfast buffet full of great variety - Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and American, and it changes everyday for at least half of it. Only thing is that the bathroom is glass, so not much privacy. Our bathroom door also didn't close all the way. It's in a good area though."
"The hotel is in excellent condition, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff are very nice and try to make stay very pleasant. Overall my wife and I really enjoyed our three nigh start at Akyra. I would definitely stay there again if I ever come back to Chaing Mai"
"Was a little hard to find at first, but was great for the price. Would recommend it. Staff were super helpful and they held my luggage before check in."

"This hotel is in the heart of Chiang Mai Old City, walkable any direction you want to go. There are several temples within a few blocks. , the Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre and Three Kings Monument are half a block away. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars are endless.
The staff is incredibly nice and the building is well looked after.
I was assigned room 316, and to my surprise - when I opened the window, I saw the walk of the building beside it, or the one foot gap between the two buildings. No daylight in the 16-ending rooms. Didn't bother me as I like to sleep in a space as dark as possible, and when awake I'd leave pretty quickly, but I feel like this is something that should be mentioned.
Smart TV for those who want to sign into their streaming services, safe and mini fridge. Strong WiFi with dedicated router in the room. Comfortable bed and pillows.
The bathroom has a 'Japanese' toilet seat.
Overall great value. Recommend it!"
