"Misleading advertisement and management didn’t respond when we complained. I booked a cabin via hotels.com at Finca el Mazo for my family including our two young children. It was advertised as being family friendly with lots of activities including swimming pool, football, games room and basketball. "Rober and his wife are very kind and supportive and gave us a lot of hints for locations to visit. The perfectly clean house provides everything we needed during 9 days for a comfortable stay, especially as we prepared our own meals. We enjoyed to drink a fresh lemon from the garden and sit in front of the house, looking at the splendid mountain panorama in front of us. Many thanks for this nice and relaxing stay, regards, A & C"

"Be carefull. It’s a compagny who rent this place. Not personalized at all. After paying by credit card our stay, they kept asking for security deposit (never it was asked before by the other 5 places). After spending a few hours trying to make an agreement, we decided to cancel and go somewhere else ( we felt like it was fraud). They never refund us…We lost more than 500$ CAN. 😡"

"Hotel Pico Velasco is a magical space nestled between nearby Santander. This 17th-century palace, once the residence of the Marqués Velasco, was painstakingly rebuilt and transformed into a boutique hotel. The perfect blend of history, elegance, and natural beauty makes Hotel Pico Velasco a true gem. Its proximity to Santander provides easy access to the city, while its serene surroundings ensure a peaceful retreat. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional culinary experience offered by the hotel's Michelin-starred chef. Please note that this exclusive experience is available by reservation only, so be sure to book in advance. I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't let the 3-star rating fool you – this hotel is a hidden gem!"
