"Wonderful location allowing us to bird State Line Rd on our trips in and out of Portal while also providing dark skies to enjoy the stars at night. The house was lovely and roomie. We prepared our nightly meals in the large kitchen, relaxed in the comfy living room and bird watched from the dining room table and kitchen window. FYI - they aren't kidding in their description about the lack of groceries available locally ... come well stocked with your food needs for the length of stay or you...

"Overall, we were very happy with the accommodations and the cottage. It was neat, clean, and in good order. We enjoyed the labeling of all the items and locations, the cozy 1970s vibe, and the location of our park destination. We also enjoyed our conversation with the owners of the working ranch. The mini museum on the property had a lot of history and cool artifacts. We loved it!"
