"My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in September and loved every minute. Cottage was well decorated, very clean and had everything you would need. We loved the outdoor shower and the host was so accommodating and thoughtful. Highly recommend and hope to return soon. "

"Based on the photos provided, I thought the property would be tired. I was not expecting the complete lack of upkeep. On a positive note, the view was beautiful. It was the best part about the house. The beds were also comfortable and the linens/towels were ample. The kitchen was reportedly fully stocked - and I am sure it once was, but no one has managed things. There was part of a lobster pot, but not enough components to actually cook lobster. There were bread and paring knives, but no chef's knife to cut anything of substance. No pot to cook pasta - I could go on. Nothing was in a general state of disarray. For the pool - the deck was pretty covered with weeds. The pool accessories were in a closet - most were completely covered with black mold and mildew. Only one raft was remotely usable. All the screen doors to the deck were covered in mildew/mold. The deck furniture was definitely on it's last legs - most chairs were threadbare with holes and the table desperately needed a bleach scrub. The deck itself had quite a few spots of wear and splinter hazard. The roof and beams had visible holes and were home to bees. The heating/air conditioning was completely out of whack. Everyday I had to reset the heat so it wouldn't come on and compete with the air conditioning. All in all, we had a great family vacation - the house was fine - certainly not "exceptional" as advertised."
