It is a great rural retreat, not to far from the coast and we were able to get to some very pretty towns and villages relatively quickly. This is certainly a beautiful part of Italy. Hugh was very welcoming and informative. The only downside of our stay was the viscous Mosquitos. If you are prone to being bitten you will need insect repellent on night and day."

"The desk staff was very helpful and let us shorten our stay a night due to a change of plans despite our having to deal with Expedia. Our suite on the 3rd floor was very clean, quaint and comfortable as is the rest of the hotel, and it was great having a smart tv to watch Netflix at night. "The hotel in general was nice. However there were 10-15 kids hanging out in the lobby and front door. Seemed like a school was being held there. It was very unusual. Also, parking was impossible. None existed. If it wasn’t for the kindness of a local gentleman I do not know what we would have done. If you are not driving that’s a different story. Restaurants in the area were awesome especially II Meggesse. "

"This unique lodging in an historic palazzo is located in the central part of the city. Major squares are within five minute walk. Parking can be a challenge but the property offers valet service for an extra charge. Breakfast offferings were very good with a variety of options. Staff were friendly and helpful."

Pleasant 2-night stay in Ascoli Piceno.

"The hotel was in the perfect position around the corner from the main square. When we checked in we were shown our room which was spacious but had no natural light. This was disappointing having booked a superior room. We were offered another room but there was only a bath with a hand held shower. So we decided to take the first room which had a large bathroom/walk in shower. The amenities in the room were good although there was a bad smell much of the time. Breakfast was good and the service was pleasant. Reception staff were polite and helpful. We did not use any of the spa facilities. "
