"The hotel is way outside of Astorga, and it looks like the hotel that the apocalypse left behind. There were almost no guests. The whole staff leaves at 4pm. They do not serve real food despite having a restaurant. Much of the grounds are in a state of disrepair. If you want dinner, you have to walk along the highway to another hostel down the road. "The convento Foncebadon is wonderful. Clean. Comfortable. Cozy. The room was large. We slept beautifully. Very quiet. The only issue we had was even though i made my reservation on Hotels.com for some reason they did not have record of us. After they made a phone call somewhere it was clarified and we had a wonderful stay. Also the restaurant served dinner and we were quite pleased. I highly recommend the Convento"
