Pros first: The owners were very nice and their home/property is absolutely stunning. The room is very cute and cozy, the view is amazing and it’s unbelievably quiet and peaceful where they are located. I really want to give this place 5 stars but I can’t get past the cons.
3 major issues: First was the lack of hot water. The owner had warned us that you have to let the water run for a long time before it gets warm. I’m not sure what a long time is for them because it seemed that no matter how long we ran it, it never got warm. This made us not want to use the pool, even though that was part of the reason we booked this place, since taking a nice hot shower afterward just wasn’t convenient at all. Second, was that their wifi was so spotty that it made doing anything on our phones virtually impossible because we had no cell service at this house. When you’re in a new city and trying to use the internet to find directions and places to go, that gets really frustrating really quickly. Third, and this was my worst issue, was that the bed was horrendous. It was the creakiest, noisiest, most rickety bed I’ve ever slept on. It made it impossible to get out of bed or simply roll over without one of us waking the other up with the noise and shaking, and since I’m pregnant I tend to get out of bed a lot at night. The result was me and my husband being woken up several times a night and getting little to no sleep on what was supposed to be a child free restful vacation.
