We had lizards in the room and NO hot water! The electrical outlets were limited. Very over-priced! The staff was friendly, but the rooms were a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you !
This is family oriented hotel..is small family owned..but really warm and helpful people. The property is in the forest ..is excellent to be in contact with nature and is close to many waterfalls and other attractions..my experience was amazing..highly recommended.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Cero privacidad
Beautiful part of Costa Rica. Beautiful drive from Alajuela. Wonderful trails to explore.

Disliked: Room comfort

Bungalow was rustic and dark. Does not include all amenities described online. Despite not wanting to stay the second night, I think a family could have a fun, low cost vacation at Del Bosque. Staff were pleasant, helpful, and tried to make our stay more comfortable.
I booked this hotel as I thought it was between Paos Volcano and Arenal. The location was good, about 45 minutes from Arenal. As it turned out Paos has been closed since 2017 as it is active. This is a nice hotel, great price. I booked it with Expedia.ca. We enjoyed talking to George and he was very helpful. It included a nice breakfast.
This is in rural area, a must visit for nature lovers. It is about hour & a half from the airport. Streets are not paved. The staff is wonderful, always willing to help. Great service located in Rain forest, good for natural air & organic food. Take the mosquito repellent & be willing to explore.

Liked: Cleanliness
Rooms simply equipped with bed, small table and chair, no wardrobe or hooks for cloth, plus a fridge.
No mosquito-net at the window.
Breakfast local style (eggs, rice with beans, some fruit-pieces and coffee or artificial juice).
Owner very friendly and helpful.
Location next to river with natural pool and forest with birds, butterflies ... (mosquitos).
