Unique property located 30 minutes from Palma airport in a romantic village (Santanyi), home to numerous restaurants and art galleries. The mill is centrally located within walking distance from the village. Some of Mallorca's nicest beaches can be accessed by car (5 minute drive to the sea). We had a lovely stay at the Mill, 4 adults and two young children. The VRBO photos don’t do this place justice. It was quaint and well appointed in equal measure. The weather was very hot (30-45 degrees C) every day so the pool and air conditioners provided welcome relief from the afternoon heat. The upstairs room is self contained with its own ensuite. Nice bakery nearby, and loads of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Celia (the owner) was a gracious host, and her helper was on hand to support us with advice, pool cleaning and tips on the property. We’ll definitely go back.

Characterful Mill in a wonderful location
The mill is absolutely beautiful. It is perfectly located to walk to lots of restaurants and shops but the area is not too touristy. It is very private and Cecilia and her lovely caretaker are nearby if you need anything. There were lots of lovely personal touches which you sometimes do not find in rentals. The photos do not do it justice. It is rustic but very charming with beautiful flowers growing all around. The only thing I would say that is not obvious on the listing is that there are 2 en-suite rooms and another bathroom. The master bedroom with en-suite is upstairs and accessed separately from the house through the private courtyard. Lots of on street parking and supermarkets nearby, as well as lovely beaches. Cecilia is a wonderful host and we felt very at home. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic stay in a romantic, historic mill
You had us at the beautiful entrance with the bougainvillea everywhere! But on top of that the exquisite and most unique property. The smallest touches to make us feel at home. Stocked fridge and fruits, vegetables. Just thought of everything. The welcome we received from Volkmar was so warm and welcoming and we were honored to meet Miss Cecilia the owner (special shout out to her son Rodrigo). This charming 600 year old property just left us in total awe and the functional design was amazing. It was in a great location and easily walkable and good parking so that you don’t miss the market on Weds or Sat. What can we say? We didn’t want to leave. Just excellent communication, warmth and caring from our hosts!

Fabulous home!
We had the most wonderful stay at the mill house. The tour by Cecelia on arrival was delightful. The fridge and pantry were very generously and considerately stocked. We were there during very hot weather and the pool and air conditioning in the house provided much needed relief and comfort. We stayed for a week and explored all the stunning local beaches. Restaurants in Santanyi were great and very close - a few minutes walk. We loved the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays but there was also a local supermarket a few minutes walk from the house. Highly recommend this place if you’re after somewhere full of character and history with wonderful hosts.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful 600 year old mill. Cecilia the owner was such a lovely charming lady, she made us feel so welcome. We arrived to a very well stocked fridge, fruit and vegetable basket and cupboards filled with food essentials, thank you so much for this!! The house is perfectly located and less than ten minutes walk to the town’s restaurants and bars, there are also a few great restaurants right next to the house. We spent most of our days visiting the beaches of Es Trenc, Cala Moro and Cala Santanyi all beautiful. The pool was perfect for a late afternoon cool down. Thank you so much for making our holiday so perfect, we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect location
The Mill is in a great location for great restaurants, shops and a supermarket all only a short stroll away. A very quiet location, quirky and very well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. The owners were very easy to contact and always on hand to answer any questions. Cecelia who lives next door (owner) is a lovely welcoming lady and greets you on arrival with a lovely smile. Essentials like milk, water, tea and coffee are at the Mill which is fabulous especially if your flight is late. A car is required to reach the beaches but they are not our thing so we hired a car to visit the surrounding areas. Good food in lots of the restaurants and a taxi rank in town. Very relaxing holiday. Thank you

Amazing!
We loved our stay at the mill in Santanyi. Rodrigo was so helpful in the lead up to the holiday, answering any questions I had. Cecelia have us such a warm welcome and stocked the kitchen with essentials which was appreciated after a tiring journey. The property is beautiful and full of character. The little pool was perfect for our little ones and the bedrooms are clean and comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about the whole stay.

A true gem
We were a group of 4 friends attending a wedding in Santanyí and we could not have been happier with the mill. Let me start by saying that the mill is home that is filled with history, beautiful details and a charming coziness that can only be achieved through years of work. It feels like home, not just a mere property. Everything was thought of and one could feel the owners signature and care going into it. We couldn't have wished for a better place in terms of location (right in the center of town, but off the hustle of the main streets that tend to get quite touristy, especially during market days). The pool gets light all day long and the light, floral scent of the bedrooms along the powdry, natural lights that enter this converted mill will remain in our memory for a long time. We joked that we'd like to come back every year and who knows, maybe we will make it! Lots of love and gratitude to our wonderful hostess, lady Cecilia – who is a true character of beauty and humor and her son Rodrigo for providing the perfect place for unforgettable memories.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation, location and hosts. Best holiday ever.
As a family of four with two boys under 9, the Mill was the perfect choice. The accommodation is wonderful, very charming and typically Mallorcan with everything you could possible need. Three large bedrooms allowed us plenty of space and the outdoor pool was a fabulous way to cool off in after a day on the beach. Locally there are plenty of restaurants and bars, local supermarkets and a Lidl open daily. Cala Santanyí and Cala Llombards a short drive away and here you will find two of the best beaches. Cecilia is a fantastic host and any queries were answered swiftly. We are sad to leave and hope to return very soon. Thanks for a truly memorable holiday in a stunning property.

We throughly enjoyed our week at the Mill. It is ideally located at the edge of the Village and easy to walk to local eateries. Cecilia and Rodrigo were great communicators and offered advice on the local area. We were very comfortable in the Mill and enjoyed eating outside and cooling off in the splash pool. Santanyi has a lot to offer and we enjoyed the local beaches. We would recommend staying at the Mill for families or couples.

Cécilia was a wonderful host and there if we had questions. The mill itself was perfect, full of character and charm. The small pool was perfect for a dip after a hot day sight seeing. Santanyi is a fantastic village with great restaurants, minutes away. The market is also fantastic full of local produce and crafts.

Beautifully presented cosy villa in charming village with welcoming hosts
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The owner who lives next door was incredibly warm and welcoming and even brought a birthday cake for my daughter. The property was perfect for two small families and we very much enjoyed the opportunity to cool off in the small pool (also perfect for kids). We also very much enjoyed the area, which has some gorgeous little beaches and harbour towns nearby. The supermarket was also well stocked selling fresh fish and was conveniently nearby. We would recommend this place to friends and would certainly consider returning ourselves.

Lovely quaint villa in a delightful Majorcan town
I and a group of friends stayed in this villa for 2 weeks in Sep 16. We were all very pleased with the property and its facilities and had a very pleasant 2 weeks stay. Cecilia, the co-owner who lives in the adjoining property, was so helpful and charming and made a real effort to make us feel at home. Although we did not arrive until midnight on the first day she was there to cheerfully welcome us and show us around with a smile. The local town, Santanyi, is a really lovely, clean and well kept place and the villa is on the edge of it and just a short walk from many great restaurant, a lovely bakery and a 'spar' type supermarket. The main town square is pedestrianised and has many bars with outside seating, and some serve great cocktails. The villa has all the sounds of the countryside, so cockerels, church bells, donkeys and flocks of chirping sparrows tend to act as your alarm clock each day. The villa is full of character and is really quaint inside with 3 large double bedrooms with aircon units. It was very clean on arrival, and mid-stay the sheets and towels were changed for us. Outside the patio is covered in beautiful bougainvillea and jasmine which give a permanently shady canopy to this pleasant sitting area which also has a very large table for breakfast and dining. Here too is a bench and 2 sun loungers and folding chairs. The pool has the daytime sunshine on it, but is quite small and does not really have much space to sit around it, but with all the lovely beaches nearby we did not really spend time around the villa during the day. The kitchen is a good size and with a very large fridge and a 5 ring gas cooker you can cook at home if you want a rest from the local eateries. There is a gas fired BBQ outside but we did not use it. I would add though that a microwave may be useful as a kitchen utility if people were planning to eat in more often. A great place to stay and we were very content there. A car is a 'must' to get around. Thanks to Cecelia for making us so welcome and comfortable.

the property was ok in the end, but a little more rustic than we would have liked ,we got used to its quirks by the end of our stay.the kitchen was one up from camping.the lady who greeted us was helpful and there when needed which was not often,The position was perfect for restaurants without having to drive and Santanyi was very pleasant and had a nice feel about it ,not too many tourists,all in all we enjoyed that part of Majorcaand would go back to the area if not the property. but as it was a last minute booking to visit family it suited or purpose, if a liitle exspensive for the quality of accomadation

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, zentral und (fast immer) ruhig gelegen
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der alten Mühle sehr genossen. Selten haben wir in einer Ferienunterkunft erlebt, dass der Kühlschrank bei unserer Ankunft mit allen notwendigen Lebensmitteln und mehr (u.a. Bier) gefüllt war und ein 30 Liter Trinkwasserbehälter für uns gratis zur Verfügung stand. Dafür möchten wir uns ganz herzlich bei Cecilia und vor allen Dingen bei Volkmar, der "Guten Seele des Hauses" bedanken. Neben guten Betten und der liebevollen Einrichtung des gesamten Wohn-und Schlafbereichs haben wir auch die gute Ausstattung der Küche (u.a. 5 flammiger Gasherd) sehr genossen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und geborgen in Cecilias alter Mühle gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Hochzeitsreise auf Mallorca
Wir hatten die alte Mühle von der wunderbaren Cecilia als unsere Hochzeitsreise gebucht. Und was sollen wir sagen: Es war die alsolut richtige Entscheidung! Die Ferienwohnung ist mit so viel Liebe hergerichtet und hat alles was man für den Urlaub brauchen sollte , vorrätig. Ob der Sonnenschirm oder Kühlbox für den Strand , extra Decken, Mückennetze ... Alles da. Als wir ankamen hat uns Celina herzlich empfangen und uns eine Hausführung gegeben. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt und alles perfekt vorbereitet. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Wir haben unsere Zeit sehr genossen in der Mühle und Volkmar der auch deutsch spricht war immer da wenn wir fragen hätten . Absolut empfehlenswert und ein wunderschöner Ort um einfach Mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen.
