Pombal - great location. Quiet but close to it all

Excellent view of the Cathedral. Great location with only a few minutes walk to the centre and very close to a beautiful park. Lots of cafes nearby if you fancy breakfast other that at the hotel. Antonio at reception was very helpful. Ideal place for a few days whether you’re a tired pilgrim or a late night reveller. If you’re less mobile, lift to the 2nd floor is available but not to 3rd floor so something to be mindful of if you are. Thank you Pombal Rooms!

The hotel is understated on the outside but very modern, clean, and attractive when you enter. The room was comfortable with a wonderful view. My only complaint is the chime of the clock fro Santiago Cathedral every 15 minutes. It might have been quieter with the window closed but the fresh air was lovely.

Vi fick ett rum i gatunivå, ut mot gatan. Det var stort fint och rent men ganska mycket ljud från gatan på natten. Vi åt inte frukost så ingen uppfattning om det.

We did not stay at the property. We were told at the last minute that there was a problem (unspecified) and that we had to go to another hotel. We were sent to a less atmospheric hotel in a shopping district..the Lux. A disco across the street was very loud until 8am. The Lux did provide breakfast and luggage storage. We had hoped to stay closer to the Cathedral to end our Camino.. I feel like our room at Pombal Rooms might have been double booked.

Schöne und saubere Unterkunft, fußläufig zur Altstadt. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind etwas laut, die andere Seite hat einen fantastischen Ausblick! Parken konnten wir für 8€/Tag im nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Diese Unterkunft können wir nur empfehlen!

部屋が広く窓からはカテドラルも見えました。 良い部屋を用意して下さって感謝してます。 連泊したかったのですが予約で満室なのが残念でした。 スタッフの方もとてもとても親切で人気なのもわかります。 サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラで一番お勧め。

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat an sich eine gute Lage. Man sollte nur dringend darauf achten, dass bei Expedia unter den Standardzimmern bis auf ein einziges Bild ausschließlich Superiorzimmer gezeigt werden. Das führte dazu, dass man sich auf einen schönen Ausblick freute und am Ende direkt auf die Straße guckte, Angesicht zu Angesicht mit den Autofahrern, die an der Ampel direkt vorm Fenster halten. Fenster öffnen ging nicht, da es eine Fenstertür bis zum Boden ist und dann jeder hineinspazieren könnte. Zum Buchungszeitpunkt waren noch mehrere Standardzimmer frei, trotzdem haben wir das Erdgeschosszimmer direkt neben der Rezeption bekommen. Fühlte sich einfach nicht sehr privat an und man hatte das Gefühl, zum Buchungszeitpunkt hätte es bessere Zimmer gegeben. Auf meine Beschwerde an der Rezeption hin täuschte der Herr einen Anruf vor (nein, das Telefon hat nicht geklingelt) und verließ den Empfangsraum. Soviel zum Service. Das hat mich wirklich sehr verärgert und führt zu dieser schlechten Rezension, denn das Hotel an sich ist meiner Meinung nach empfehlenswert. Ein weiteres Manko war allerdings, dass man zwar vorher gefragt wurde, ob man ein Queensize oder 2 Einzelbetten möchte, dann aber nach der Angabe von Queensize einfach 2 zusammengeschoben Einzelbetten bekommt.
