I am a repeat guest of the Gran hotel Europa. The hotel is clean. The staff are attentive to your needs. The hotel is located near Calle Conde - there are some excellent restaurants nearby. The rooftop breakfast is terrific and there is a panoramic view of Santo Domingo. The hotel is in the historic Zona Colonial and you can walk to several nearby attractions. The Cathedral of the Americas is a short walk away. Barrio Chino has some decent Chinese Restaurants and there is a Sunday Market in the Bario Chino. The staff here look after their guests. I will return to the Gran hotel Europa.

This place is in la Ciudad Colonial of Santo Domingo. It is really beautiful and it has very high end restaurants around the area. La casa del dulce (house of sweets) a landmark in the DR, as this is an establishment that has been there for years, is right there. You can find the best leave cheese (Queso de Hoja) and other traditional stuff a prices that wont break the bank. They only take cash though, it can be dominican pesos or dollars. The location is great, the hotel was clean and great. It has a rooftop where they serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Very nice. Would stay again, although my house is only 15 minutes from there. :)

The staff was always available to help and everyone was friendly and professional. The buffet breakfast was good, though it could've used a little more variety. The rooftop dinning and bar area was beautiful and kept clean and inviting. My room was smaller than I anticipated and the doors need to be changed as they show a lot of wear. There was no shelf or place to put one's toiletries in the bathroom which is annoying. However, these are minor issues. There was always enough hot water and the water pressure was good. It is centrally located with a lot of dining options nearby as well as of course being right in the middle of the Zona Colonial so there's plenty to see and do. I'd likely stay here again

Digna

Ordered a room on first floor due to knee issues and was given a room upstairs where the elevator cannot reach. Issue was resolved on day one and was moved to a room where the elevators could reach, so I thank you for that. Breakfast was good and plenty, as well as breakfast area was nice. The only reason I give 3 stars overall is because the pics online are deceiving and the place is not as fancy or clean as it looks. I would not return.
