"We truly enjoyed this quaint suite. Location was perfect for us: beautiful views, charming town, good proximity to Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, and Salerno. You can take a ferry from Salerno to main towns on Amalfi Coast and Capri. Just keep in mind that having a car (the smaller the better) is a must for this location. Parking spot is included with rental which is perfect. The house is located in a private gated compound with breathtaking views. We would come back in a heartbeat. "

Nell'inserzione non è specificato che ci sono tanti scalini da fare, e che il percorso per raggiungere l'abitazione è in piena strada sterrata, l'ideale sarebbe stato avere una jeep, e non un utilitaria. "I have stayed in many villas including rural Italy before. This is actually the worst I've stayed in. The facts are the access to the villa is up a rough rubble and grit track, it's parking area has well established weeds. The patio was dirty and leafy , I was told "it is the countryside and leaves fall" but it didn't account for the old pair of wellingtons, the stale bread in a plastic bag, the bit of wrought iron or the patio table covered in a very dirty cloth with 5 plants and a broken vase...

"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"Casa Rosa is a large house with space and comfort for 8 although we were only 7. The pool is large and Guiseppe keeps it beautifully clean. The house is located within an hour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum the Amalfi Coast and is an ideal place to sight see all the extraordinary monuments around Vesuvius. Guiseppe is kind and responsive host, his neighbours less so but he did everything to make our stay a happy and agreeable one. "

"I would definitely stay at Hotel Montestella again. It is centrally located in Salerno in that if you walk in one direction, you reach the "Old town" with the restaurants and shops, Cathedral and beach part in 10-15 minutes and if you walk in the other direction, you reach the train station in 8 minutes. If you go "down" you reach the "strip walkway" in 2 minutes. The staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early at 1230 and let us check out late at 1130. There is also a nice lobby with couches that we hung out at because our train didn't leave till 1600 and the staff told us it was no problem to hang out as long as we needed to. The breakfast was really good--coffee machines made cappuchinos and lattes, and there were scrambled eggs, sausages, an assortment of pastries, bread, fruit, and cereal. I also appreciated that the yogurt was refridgerated--we stayed at several hotels in Europe and yogurt was sometimes left out at room temperatures. The only thing to note about this hotel and it's not their fault--there is construction on the road in front of it. The earliest we heard anything was 0830 and the latest was 1730, so it did not bother us at all, but thought I would mention in case people are sensitive to noise during those times. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Hotel Montestella to anyone staying in Salerno."
