This charming residence comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests, making it an ideal choice for families looking to escape to the beauty of Sapelo Island, a semi-private gem nestled off the picturesque Georgia coast. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom features four cozy beds and convenient access to the shared bathroom, accessible either from the bedroom or the living room. For added flexibility, an air mattress is available to accommodate two additional guests if needed.

For your convenience, transportation arrangements on the island can be coordinated ahead of your arrival, for a additional fee averaging $65 per day.

Delve into the rich heritage of the Gullah Geechee culture during your stay. The Sapelo community is a living testament to the legacy of African cultures, and you can explore ancient Native American ruins, which predate even the Egyptian Pyramids. Schedule a tour before your arrival. Immerse yourself in the captivating history of Sapelo Island and create lasting memories in this unique and secluded paradise.

Beautiful, quiet visit
We loved our stay at Eagle’s Nest. The house was spacious, very comfortable and well-stocked with all we needed for cooking, as well as beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow. A vehicle is a must, and our host helped arranged a truck to get around. We also enjoyed a delicious catered meal by Mrs. Barbara. A tour of Sapelo by local residents is also a must to learn about the history and culture of this beautiful island.

Great property!
This home was comfortable, clean, and just the home base that we needed. I slept like a baby and had a space to get clean after our daily adventures. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to have the opportunity to come and stay again sometime.

Annual Visit to Sapelo
Loved this property which fit six young adults and two middle-aged people nicely. The kitchen was very well-appointed and the whole place comfortable without being fussy. Thanks for a great week of long walks, beautiful beach, and no intrusions of the busy-ness of daily life.

Peace, tranquilty and great food
Four friends and who are very much into nature rented this house for 3 days and 2 nights. This was my first time using Vrbo. The host Stephan was very receptive to my questions regarding getting there, access to a vehicle, meals etc. The place was bigger then I thought, very clean a nd had everything you could want in a vacation rental (air conditioning, towels, full kitchen). The surrounding area was very peaceful and the huge screened in back porch was awesome. This place is not for everyone, especially if your looking for night life. But, if you're into nature, exploring and enjoy peace and quiet this is the place for you. Make sure you have Barbara prepare some meals for you. The food is excellent and is delivered to your door. The rental vehicle was good for getting around the island. Definitely nothing fancy, but it did the job.

Great experience, highly recommend!
This was our first time to Sapelo Island. I booked Eagles Nest a few months in advance. Stephan started communicating with me a few weeks out from my arrival date. He sent me a welcome packet on the house and some great information on Sapelo Island. He was in communication the day before and the day of my arrival. He referred some locals to help me book transportation, confirmed our seats on the ferry both ways, and had someone ready to pick us up upon arrival and take us to the house. The house was perfect. It was very clean and had all the necessary toiletries and the cooking utensils. We had other people in our party tell us we had one of the best houses on the island. Stephan was outstanding and made our stay very enjoyable. I would highly recommend renting Eagles Nest if you plan on visiting Sapelo Island.

grate but people less kind
good property, People of the island seemed less kind than times before. I have stayed many times on the island. I felt this time there was a lack of hospitality. I missed aslo the free car or golf cart. I rented 2 houses for 13 people. for people who never had a vacation before I am a pastor. Great island, but not sure if I wish to come back. thank you The house was great

Unspoiled wilderness and solitude at it best!
This home was perfect for our family of 6. It is so open and inviting. The big table was perfect for pulling out a game for some awesome tech-free family time. Our boys continually had a game of chess going. The porch was so quiet relaxing. Luckily we brought everything we needed but if we had forgotten something, the host went above and beyond to make sure what we needed was there in the house. Everyone we met was so friendly. The island itself was incredible. We had a mile of beach all to ourselves for 2 days. We saw countless deer and other wildlife on our night drives around the island. And the beauty of the sunsets behind the enormous, old oak trees and Spanish moss was magical. Can't wait to go back.
