"Great location for exploring Sarlat"

"Lovely historic property. We stayed for 5 nights. It is a great location for walking into the old city (5 minute walk) and a great base for visiting the Dordogne area. The kitchen was bright and well appointed and the living room comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are modern. It is cool to see door locks that are probably 100 years old. "This hotel is a short walk from downtown Sarlat. Street parking was near-by and easy to find. Our room was a Standard but was luxuriously enormous with great amenities, and a very comfy bed. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, even going to far as to ship back an item I'd left in the room. "

"The room was very plain there was no soap or shampoo available The shower door at the bottom needs to be clean better but other than that was an okay stay there was a funky odor in the room when we walked in almost like sewage okay"

"It’s a 40 minute walk down hill, along the cobbled sidewalks, right the way through town to get to the hotel. It’s an old hotel, and I would say it’s in need of attention. Very, very narrow, steep stairs to climb with luggage. Noisy in the hallways as people enter and leave their rooms. And if you get the single bedroom, beware the distance between the toilet and the wall is so tight, you will have to sit sideways. Also the absolute hardest bed I’ve ever slept in. Honestly felt like cement....
