Good hotel even under renovations

"We knew in advance that the hotel was under heavy renovation/construction, but this did not detract much from the stay. The worse (?) was that the panorama of the Eiger N wall from the balcony was somewhat marred by a construction crane (see photo) - not a big deal. We found room to park at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. The room is nicely furnished. One small fault: not enough power outlets around and just one USB outlet. And confusing light switches that operate on a delay and take time to master. The price is high, but so are most prices in Grindelwald"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was so helpful and there was an entrance to the station/ platforms only few minutes away from the hotel. Our room had a view of Mt. Pilatus and had everything we needed except a kettle to boil water. We also felt that the room was a little bit smaller than we expected. Otherwise, we really liked the convenient location and great breakfast and the spanish dinner at their restaurant. "

"We booked last minute due to a scam air bnb and we were delighted with I is Budget!! I recommend 100% if you just want a clean, helpful, friendly, safe place to enjoy Lucerne from. Yes - the rooms are small and yes you don’t get the luxuries of non-budget hotels but it’s perfect! The price cannot be beaten for what you get.
