"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. "The room was a very small box room in the attic. Had an en-suite. Air con worked when it wanted. Could not open window as it opened over the bed. Breakfast was 8.50€ per person.
