"A lovely place and room for our stopover on the way back from SW France. Olivier and Bruno were very helpful and a good breakfast included. Would totally recommend."
"Our stay at the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The owners are super friendly and offered plenty of advice about the surrounding area, and tips on recommended places to visit.
The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel.
The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre.
I would highly recommend this property."
"A lovely small hotel with bar only 10 mins walk from the centre .Although no food allowed in the room. There is a pleasant covered area at the back of the hotel where we picnicked both days. The rooms are practical and clean."
"This is truly a little gem. An amazing, tastefully restored period building. It is also the owners home and it shows in all the fine details and attention. The building is amazing, spiral staircase, old fashioned bell pull and giant key locks. The rooms tastefully in keeping with the half timbered style whilst still managing to host all modern amenities. The breakfast selection was outstanding and uniquely informal. All fresh local produce....mmmmm.
Best of all was the hospitality of the host...
"This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."
"Although a modern, functional building, much had been done to create a welcoming environment. In particular, trees and flower planting and patio furniture."
"This was a charming, beautiful, comfortable place to stay!
The staff were friendly and helpful in offering services and guidance with local sites of interest. The room and views were particularly lovely with water, courtyard, garden, mill, bridge, live geese, roosters, and ducks to add to the charming rustic site. View the pics! It is all very lovely!"
"Great customer service. Accommodating attitudes. Breakfast was wonderful - scrambled eggs to order.
Big plus was the parking across the street in a secured court yard"
"Had a fantastic stay at this caravan park! The host was super friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and everything worked perfectly. Overall, a great experience!

"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after very well by Phillipe, Natasha and the staff. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was very good. However, for us the highest marks should go to to the food. The breakfast had an excellent European choice. The dinners were superb. The menu was changed everyday and there was a limited but good choice of dishes. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The fish and desserts...

"Hotel was in perfect location. The room was good size. The hotel entrance smelled like someone was cooking fish (assuming it was the restaurant), but ring were excellent."
