The galley kitchen is compact, yet well equipped, with a door leading out onto the small enclosed yard, which has been adorned with fairy lights and bunting. Upstairs on the first floor there is the modern and spacious family shower room, with the master bedroom boasting a kingsize bed as well wardrobe and dressing table. The top floor has a twin bedroom, beautifully furnished.
Scarborough boasts two bays, the North Bay and the South Bay, separated by the castle perched on the headland. You are ideally positioned in the middle, around a 10 minute walk from either bay. The Marine Drive runs all the way along both of them, making it a great place for a long leisurely walk along the seafront. The North Bay is the quieter of the two, whereas the South Bay has the traditional seaside amusements, donkey rides and fun fair. In Scarborough you have many attractions including a popular waterpark with a fun splash pool and wave machine as well as an Alpine themed spa.
The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is a short drive where you can view all the migrating seabirds especially the ever popular puffins. There is an excellent train service where you can catch direct trains to the medieval city of York, or it’s just an hour’s drive by car. York is a beautiful historic city, with many attractions including the cathedral, the Dungeons, Jorvik Viking Centre and the Railway Museum. This is a wonderful destination all year round.
