Scarborough Esplanade is a mid-terrace Victorian residence with lots of period features. The local area has a wealth of history dating back to 1626 and historic public gardens for you to enjoy just 100 yards down the road. At the bottom of the road, the sea stretches out in front of you; walk down through the Italian gardens or catch the cliffside tram to the beach. There are plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants within walking distance as well as shops and other local amenities.
There is plenty of fun for children of all ages. There are hours of fun to be had at the beach and in the sea. The coastline has lots of arcades and fun rides every day. You could even have a fun day out at the water park, on a boat ride or on a cooler day you could visit the Sea Life Centre. If you enjoy walking, there are so many lovely local walks to enjoy and sights to be seen. Peasholm Park is beautiful and has lots to see and do from boating in the lake to walking around the magical gardens. The walk along the Marine Drive is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. The castle is perched on the hillside overlooking the two bays. You can venture off on longer hikes that are detailed in the welcome pack to give you some ideas.
There is a rich history of entertainment in Scarborough to visit. The Stephen Joseph Theatre (home to most of Alan Ayckbourn’s world premieres) to The Spa the largest open-air theatre in Europe where famous bands play.
If you wanted to go out for the day and discover North Yorkshire Esplanade is only a 20-minute drive to Filey and a 40-minute drive to Whitby or Bridlington. If you wanted to travel a little further York is just over an hour but there are some beautiful sights to see in this historic town.
