A stunning location nestled within mountain ranges, in the Bavarian Alps that straddles the border between Germany and Austria. It felt like we were staying in a very beautiful and cosy cottage. The hotel owner Josef Posch and his family have run the business for over two hundred years, they also run a busy and popular outdoor activity centre on the premise. Some of the nearby lands and mountains belong to him and his family.
Josef was so warm, helpful and accommodating. On the first night, we checked in quite late as there was delay with our flights. He carried our luggages for us himself, even ordered some delicious pasta from a nearby takeaway for us. Downstairs there’s a whole counter of all sorts of tea and coffee available all day free of charge, and a fridge full of delicious cold drinks, he told everyone to help themselves and just tell him what we had on check out, we have never met business owner more generous, hospitable and trusting.
