Beautiful remote historic property, 1 hour drive from Palermo. Location where the movie "the Sicilian" with Christophe Lambert was filmed and where Prince Charles (now King) visited. Loved the setting, the staff, the manager who was more than helpful and eager to solve any issues we had. The pool area is simply fantastic, absolutely superb! Water was refreshingly cool even during the summer heat. Drawbacks were the access to the house that was a little complicated with narrow roads, the background noise of the highway at night even if it is far away, the plastic plates and the sparkly equipped kitchen. Make a list and get any groceries prior to getting to the house... We were taken aback when we arrived, but the charm of house, pool and location combined with the friendliness and dedication of the staff made it a beautiful vacation! Thank you again!
