"The house is a charming log cabin located deep in the woods of a sparsely populated part of Mt Desert Island. It has a nice but small private pond behind the house. The house is overall nice, but definitely has some quirks and inaccurate listing details. Contrary to the listing, it does NOT have a hot tub. "We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. "Very nice country home with a beautiful yard and fire pit! It was a nice easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host was delightful and quick with responses to my questions. The host was also very helpful with the favorites list they provided. "This was an extremely nice place for our vacation. It has everything you could possibly want or need. Great location, close to Schoodic Point which is one of our favorite sites. Several place to eat; so no cooking was also a plus for us. The weather was great and the price was great for the high quality of the home. The privacy was also a plus.
