A few steps lead to the slightly lower swimming pool with overflow technology in free form with the dimensions 11 x 4.5 m which is surrounded by spacious terraces. The heated pool is operated via a salt water electrolysis system, i.e. without chemical additives. The water therefore has a slight salty taste (about 1/11 compared to sea water) and is extremely skin-friendly An appropriate number of sun loungers and umbrellas are of course available and you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic landscape view over the Esterel Mountains from there. Especially in the evening, the view over the illuminated mountain villages of Fayence and Seillans is very attractive, as are the spectacular sunsets.
To the side of the pool there is also a shady pool house with a pretty seating area and, on request, a mobile but very sturdy metal fence can be provided for the pool for additional protection for smaller children or dogs (visible in some photos). A pool alarm is also available, of course.
The beautifully landscaped and very well maintained property with beautiful evening outdoor lighting covers an area of 2,900 m² and is completely enclosed. Access is through an electric gate and numerous vehicles can be parked inside the property in a garage or outside.
For sports activities, there is also a large boules court and a table tennis table.
Conclusion:
An oasis of tranquility in a beautiful landscape for lovers of nature, not far from numerous attractive excursions and good restaurants only about 45 minutes from the bustling coastal towns
The property is located about 4.5 km from the village of “Seillans”, a small Provencal village which has been recognized by the association "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" in 1991 in the list of the most beautiful villages of France. In the Var, this also includes the towns of “Tourtour” and “Gassin” – both also worth a visit.
The next bigger village in 10 km distance is “Fayence”, also a very frequented vacation resort of the region, in which on the one hand the first European gliding center is located as well as in the neighborhood the very popular golf course “Terre Blanche” in approx. 15 km distance from the property.
Another highlight of the region and certainly also a top destination is the “Gorges du Verdon”, with a 21 km long and up to 700 m deep gorge and thus one of the largest canyons in Europe.
The region is also popular with divers and anglers in view of the “Lac de Saint-Cassien” (at 27 km from the villa) – a beautiful huge reservoir of 600 hectares, as well as hikers and mountain bikers. The friends of equestrian sports also get their money’s worth in this region.
All in all, the location of this property offers numerous very attractive sights that can be reached in a short driving time. In addition, the coastal towns of Cannes and Théoule-sur-Mer or Fréjus are about 45 km away, so within manageable distance from the villa, if it should be a day at the beach or a shopping tour.
We drove to the estate via Le Muy from Sainte-Maxime and it was largely a very beautiful and well-developed country road through vineyards and pine forests and wooded areas – a really very appealing road!
