The Trans Resort Bali is a five-star hotel at a great price. It is fully centered around a large pool, and large sand pool. It has a huge restaurant ("The Restaurant") that has a solid breakfast buffet. The quality of the food here is above-average for Bali, but doesn't quite meet five-star quality. The rooms are spacious, and many have outdoor jetted bathtubs. The sliding doors don't have screens, and they aren't air tight. This means that you will periodically smell smoke from nearby cooking/trash fires, and the rooms are louder than those found in most modern 4 and 5-star hotels. The spa was closed for the month of June for roof repairs, but I had a massage in a converted room on the ground floor (which was quite noisy as it is next to a kids play area). All of the front desk staff were smiling and helpful! Most of the restaurant staff were great as well. For the price, this is almost a five-star experience!

We had a Villa in the property that was great, private pool, super quiet and relaxing, with all the amenities of the resort on the doorstep, the staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming, we had a fabulous stay, the rooftop bar is a added bonus for sunset cocktails
