Our stay at the Metropolitan was great. We did have a little issue finding the hotel since there are two Metropolitan Hotels near Sendai Station. Make sure you go for the Metropolitan East.

I was amazed that I could see the Shinkansen from my room, but not hear it at all. The soundproofing is superb. The hotel connects to the train station with everything you might need. I was a little disappointed by breakfast. Crowded and not the quality I’d hoped for. Probably won’t opt for it here next time.

Everything was really great. The staff were so helpful in various situations. Location is also amazingly convenient for dining options, shopping and transportation options. Spent 16 nights here and will be coming back for sure whenever we’re back in sendai

They had a great breakfast buffet with a nice selection of both east and western foods Great bathroom setup. The wet room (shower in room plus tub) was spa like. The separate Japanese toilet was great. Good location The only real issues we had were that the room itself was very narrow without much storage. Also the Japanese TV only had one channel (CNN) for English speakers and not the usual selection of movies and such Americans expect.

Location location location! It's right on top of the train station and the hotel is maintained extremely well. I'll stay in this hotel again if I've to come back to Sendai again
