Much needed peace and quiet
Three women - celebrating two of them turning 55 - throughly enjoyed the lovely log cabin, peace and quiet, fire pit and everything to do with the house. Only suggestions: wine glasses (there were two stemless glasses and we are big wine drinking ladies) garbage bins were all full and overflowing. Also screen door leading to front porch would not close. All in all, we loved our stay and hope to return - maybe with the husbands next time.

Cute cabin in great location for family getaway
Cute, well appointed cabin in a wooded, quiet location that is not far from Sequim but really feels like you are getting away from town. The beds are warm and comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful decor. It was a nice spot to take short walks in the woods and see plenty of deer. Close to many things to do, or take a day trip to the rainforest or La Push.

Beautiful cabin
This cabin is beautiful! I would have enjoyed our stay better had I not gotten sick the day we left home. If you want to get away from the city and enjoy the woods, this is perfect! If you want to be close to the city, this is not for you. If you want solitude and the beauty of nature, this is for you. Keep in mind, this is a cabin in the woods, there is no cell service, but there is WiFi and ability for WiFi calling. That being said, we went for spring break not realizing we were at the snow line. It snowed off and on for a couple of days. We weren’t snowed in, but had I known it was going to snow, I would have booked this in the summer. Would I book this cabin again? Absolutely! Check in and check out was a breeze. Host was quick to answer any questions we had and communication was great! My dogs enjoyed being outside and chasing things.

Mountain Joy!
The solitude was welcoming! Beautiful accommodations. The only thing I would add is that the firepit is not accessible since a burn ban is in place. I know the owners can not do anything about this but I would suggest removing it as a major draw for the property.

Pictures were false and mouse droppings everywhere
The scenery was beautiful but the VRBO listing pictures were not representative of property. Wood fireplace had been removed. Fireplace was in the kitchen. Only place to watch a movie was in bed as no tv in front room. Mouse droppings and even 2 mice in garbage can in house. Mice in bathroom cabinets and tore through toilet paper and plastic bags. Could not leave door open for cool mountain air as holes in the screen. Have stayed in many many cabins and this by far worst place we have had.

Quiet, wooded getaway
We all loved this property and plan to come back. It's rustic, but has enough modern comforts to keep you cozy. The stillness and quiet after dark is spectacular. And the morning "croak" of ravens in the trees is something you'll never forget.

Peaceful cabin in the woods.
This rustic little cabin is so sweet and cozy. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our favorite furry companion. Absolutely quiet, private, and peaceful. We saw many dear on our evening walks, and several more as we drove out in the mornings. The cabin has everything you need, and the gas stove in the kitchen keeps the cabin warm and toasty.

Forest Retreat
We were disconcerted by the distance of this cabin from our goal, which was Olympic N.P. My husband was upset but soon realized this is a real log cabin in a beautiful setting. We had thoughts of leaving early to shorten the 8 hour drive home, but decided to stay as long as absolutely possible. The cabin is warm, clean, comfortable, in a peaceful but remote location. We were grateful we didn't have to use the stairs because they are steep. Our contact, Louise, was extremely helpful and put up with me asking questions I could have answered myself if I'd read the instructions more carefully. I sat on the porch in a rocking chair with my glass of wine in the early evening and thought I was in heaven.

Very peaceful wooded area!
I search for a cabin located in the woods and found this great property! Everything was as stated in the listing. The stairs to the upper level were very steep, and as stated, not for children or anyone with mobility issues. We really liked the peace and quiet! We would book to stay there again!

The cabin was even nicer than it looks in the photos; the kitchen is especially well-appointed. Beware that the stairs to second floor loft sleeping area require caution. The area was rich with hiking opportunities and we loved the quiet neighborhood and grounds aroudn the cabin.

Magical getaway spot in the mountains provided good home base for adventures and family time alike
Delayed review here as I forgot to leave one after our stay last fall … This quaint little cabin in the hills outside Sequim was a wonderful accommodation for our family adventures on the Olympic Peninsula in late 2021. Our sons (7 and 2 at the time) and dog loved the fresh air and open spaces around the property, and the accommodations inside the cabin were nice as well. A fully stocked kitchen and nice seating area made a great home base after days of adventure in the Forest, and the living room area is cozy/beds were decent as well. Only qualm was that as advertised we did end up having a little mouse visitor sneaking around the bathroom, but will say the owner was responsive and very helpful and coordinated efforts with the property manager to quickly trap and remove the critter. All in all we had a very nice stay here and would happily return if/when we visit the area again. Pretty highly recommend this cool property!

What a perfect place to unwind and reunite with nature
This was my first time spending the money to have a longer stay and I couldn’t have been happier! The cabin was spacious and cozy. The property was vast and even though you have neighbors near by you feel as if you are miles away. Would gladly stay here again!!

Beautiful getaway
The home is located in a very private area surrounded by trees. It takes a bit of a drive from town to get there, but we prefer that to staying in a neighborhood. My only complaints would be the mouse poo we found in several places. I realize the home is in the woods and thus critters can be an issue, but it’s a bit unsettling when you go to grab a coffee mug and find poop in it, along with on the counter, shelf, toaster, stovetop, plates, sink, drawers, couch, and corners in the bedroom when we got there. I cleaned it all up and it was back again 2 days later. There was nowhere we felt “safe” putting our groceries because there are no cabinets for food storage. We just went out to eat because we didn’t want to make the situation worse. I would recommend the owner to provide a few plastic storage containers for renters to keep their food in safely away from rodents. Aside from the mice I really have no complaints. The home is charming and comfortable. It feels like home, not like your typical barren rental. I would absolutely recommend and would stay again!

Rustic
The place was nice and rustic even more so without a dishwasher. It was secluded and very quiet and helped us relax in the date time. Nightly we were regularly awoken by resident mice that seemed to have claimed the house before us. The pesky critters never picked up the tab either. Rude.
