"The staff and service is excellent. The individual rooms are a distance away from the lobby/restaurant, which I didn’t like so much. That, however, is secondary to the excellent staff and the large comfortable rooms. The wine tasting was extremely well done."

"The Hotel is a boutique vineyard with outstanding people running it. I cannot say how good it is. The food and wine selection was outstanding. The staff was extremely professional, helpful and caring. We strongly recommend the hotel. "

"This property is amazing! It reminds me of something out of a fairy tale. Our room was unique and beautifully decorated. The staff was exceptional. She told us about the history of the property, showed us to our room and made our dinner reservations at a wonderful local restaurant. And then there was breakfast, which was just fabulous. If you are in this area, don't miss the opportunity to stay here and experience this fabulous property."

"A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. Breakfast OK - coffee cold."

"The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views. The rooms were nice but not special. "

"This Quinta exceeded our expectations. It is situated in a rural and beautiful area. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. There’s also a much larger town not too far from the Quinta, called Penafiel. The villa where we stayed had a breathtaking view of both the vineyard and river. "This is a beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed the huge rooms, gorgeous dining room, and decent gym. The spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room (which we could not open, and there was no one working there to open it). But it was very difficult to find, as the Expedia address took us to a house 15 minutes away.
