"It is NOT in Los Arco's. You cannot walk the 2 miles because it is on the highway and is illegal and dangerous. No one speaks English. They claim to have a free shuttle service to town, they do not. They lied about the free taxi. They got the times wrong about what they said was a free shuttle/ taxi. Kept everyone waiting in reception for 45 minutes for the service to town on the morning. This was awful motel do not go there and I would like a refund on the 36 euros that it cost me for taxis in...

"Julian's property is a 3 level townhouse on the edge of a lovely old town Viana. Very convenient for touring around the various wineries of Rioja. Comfortable house with all usual facilities and a pleasant garden to sit out in. Although lacking a kettle on arrival, Julian delivered one very quickly which was appreciated. "No one there to check me in at check in time so I called after 30 minutes of waiting.. the lady showed me a room that had an adjoining shared bathroom but had no door to the bedroom so anyone could wander in! Then eventually took me to a more suitable room.. when I asked if my Camino buddy could use one bed (there were 3)! She requested an extra €50!!! The room cost me €48 so we declined!! Decor was very tired and shabby but better than some of the municipal albergues.."

"Beautiful historic hotel located in the "old castle" portion of the castle of the King of Navarre. The initial building dates back to Roman times and was add to by the Visigoths and again in the 13th century. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and right on the center square of the town. Staff are very friendly. The superior rooms we stayed in were individually decorated and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel, especially if you love staying in unique historic locations."
