"The workers woke me up out of my sleep just to replace a broken key. It could’ve waited until I got up. This caused me to be extremely tired for an event I was trying to get rest for. Very unprofessional. Other than that everything in the room is either old or broken, the breakfast sucks, and the location is far from everything. The beach in question is a man made sewage dump. I think this entire hotel needs new management and a renovation "

"AVOID! This place was an absolute nightmare! Ants, roaches, and bedbugs all over the place! When I arrived, the place was unclean from the last guest and the hotel did not care. There is no front desk. BEWARE: It is in the favela and very dangerous even during the day! The pictures are deceptive. I left before my booking ended. You could not pay me to stay here again! "

"The young lady who checked me in was so gracious and lovely! The hotel is modern and we got a nice view. Anything that we needed was accommodated quickly! "For me the room is clean, they serve nice and decent breakfast. However, there are some fruit flies so they better do some pest control. The previous reviews are true, their towel looks dirty. I think the management of this hotel does not listen or does not really take action on people's review. It is about time to change those towels and get a new one. Based on the hotel's name, the. owner is Japanese. Japanese are not known for being stingy. So throw away those towels and buy a new one"

"It's in a very ugly neighborhood, shops close at 6, the neareast supermarket that remains open until 9 is 10 block away in this very ugly neighborhood. Hostel's staff is very kind but I'm not sure if it's a good option in a dangerous city like Rio. I would look for another place. "

"It's a really interesting property they have a hostel and they have a separate set of rooms that are made out of shipping containers but have been modified to be hotel rooms. Each one has its own air conditioning units and key that you can lock the door with. You can enter the property at any time with your key fob but they are also available to open the door if you ring the bill you can walk to the train station from there but I would not suggest going at night.
