"Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. There were 5 family members and the house was quite spacious. It was exactly what we were looking for. Dermot was an absolute gentleman of a host, and was quick to reply to any concerns or questions we had. We definitely plan to return to Dolphin Cottage!"

"We spent 5 nights at the thatched cottage to use as a home base for day trips to Southern Ireland. It was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences!! The large farm was peaceful and so much fun to explore. The property was close to Adare for stores and restaurants but yet so private. We did love being visited very day by the two dogs!! "We originally booked a 1 bedroom but the night before we got there we were told that wasn’t available and we were being given a different unit. I felt uncomfortable with that at such late notice but the house we were given was much larger and grander. The location was perfect for our stay and travels. The owner was kind and helpful. They have a family farm and were working a lot so we appreciated his time. The views are pretty and it was very peaceful."

Ray is a great host--check in was a breeze and the location of the house is terrific-- close to town, but quiet--with great access to Bishop's Quarter--a lovely strand for walking- The view from the house couldn't be prettier.
