Welcome to our farmhouse cottage at Hualalai Farm! The space is a 27' tiny house with cozy cork flooring and cedar interior. We are located in the agrihood (community built around a common farm) of Skokomish Valley Farms, a certified organic farm nearby the Olympic National Park and the Hood Canal. Enjoy a cooked to order farmhouse breakfast with in-season farm fresh ingredients. We offer farm tours and Upick opportunities seasonally and have chickens, pigs, ducks, goats & honeybees.
Our tiny home is a cozy place perfect for small families or couples. There is just enough space to be comfortable, with comfy queen, full, and twin beds to lay your heads after a long day outdoors! The 2 larger spaces are lofts on either side of the house and single bedroom is enclosed. Galley style kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to make a meal if desired, including fridge/microwave/toaster oven/kettle/coffee maker.
A variety of teas and coffee, basic spices and cooking oil are included.
Hualalai Farms is a first generation family farm-we practice small scale organic farming (veggies, berries, fruit trees in spring/summer; maple syrup and morel mushrooms in fall/winter) and also raise chickens for eggs and meat, pigs, goats and honeybees. We provide a full fresh breakfast for our guests, made from seasonal farm grown ingredients each day.
Opportunities to participate in a number of farm activities (egg collecting, seasonal veggie/fruit harvests, goat milking, maple syrup tapping, mushroom foraging, honey harvesting and clamming) can be coordinated based on season and availability. We also have mountain bikes for adults and kids available for a small fee. Please inquire for these special farm experiences. Farmhouse lunch & dinner meals are also available and vary seasonally.
Guest access
Our lot consists of approximately 43 acres, with 3 acres of privately fenced homestead. Guests will have access to the entire fenced in area. There is ample parking space included in your stay. The non-fenced areas may be accessible depending on the season (blackberry season being the most common time to access these areas) and includes gravel trails around the larger farm, as well as our private hiking trail leading directly into the Olympic National Forest--miles and miles of well maintained gravel trail perfect for hiking, walking, biking and running.
In addition to the 250 sq ft tiny house, guests will have access to a common deck (approximately 50' x 8'), a propane gas grill, adirondack chairs, fire pit, swimming pond, and our gardens. Supervised access to our pig pen, goat pen, 2 chicken pens, apiary, and our blackberry patch is also allowed.
Other things to note:
Special care is taken to air out the tiny house and disinfect high touch areas & surfaces between guests.
Parking is included, the parking pad comfortably parks 2 vehicles.
