Parking in Sherborne
There are four long-stay car parks and four short-stay car parks in Sherborne. Most are operated by Dorset Council, but some are privately run. You can view their location on the Sherborne town map.
Coaches, motorhomes over 4.8 metres, caravans, trailers and other large vehicles can park in the multi-use area at the Culverhayes car park. There are 6 spaces available.
Ticket machines will accept cash, but you can also pay at most of the car parks with Just Park by mobile phone (text or phone call) or smartphone App. If you want to stay longer, you can change your departure time using your phone without returning to the car park.
Most car parks are open 24 hours a day, with charges applied between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. You’ll need to check each car park's charges and rules.

Long Stay
Long-stay parking is available for cars and motorcycles with an all-day charge.
Culverhayes car park (DT9 3ED) has 263 car parking spaces, 2 motorcycle spaces, and free public toilets. It is open 24 hours but has a height restriction of 2.1m between 6 pm and 8 am. There are also two 22kw Electric Vehicle charge points at this car park.
Coldharbour car park (DT9 4HA) has 67 car parking spaces and 1 motorcycle space, plus one 22kw and one 60kw Electric Vehicle charge point.
Acreman Street car park (DT9 3NX) has 45 car parking spaces and 1 motorcycle space.
The Railway Station car park (DT9 3NB) has 67 spaces and charges for all day, weekend, or 7 days (Monday to Sunday).
Short Stay
Short-stay parking is for cars and motorcycles and is the least expensive option for stays of 3 hours or less.
Digby Hall car park (DT9 3FE) has 46 car parking spaces.
Old Market Yard car park (DT9 3HR) has 109 car parking spaces and 2 motorcycle spaces, two 22kw and one 50kw Electric Vehicle charge points, and free public toilets.
Newland North car park (DT9 4HA) has 54 car parking spaces and 1 motorcycle space.
There is a car park at Sainsbury’s supermarket (DT9 3ND) which has 193 spaces and a maximum stay of 2 hours. Charges apply.
Accessible parking
Most of the car parks in Sherborne are operated by Dorset Council. They are open 24 hours a day, with charging times between 8am and 6pm daily. Parking charges apply in these car parks, however Blue Badge holders gain 1 extra hour for free when purchasing a ticket.
The car parks at the Railway Station and Sainsbury’s supermarket both have accessible spaces , but the council does not operate them.
Disabled badge holders are advised to refer to the disabled parking notices in each car park.
