"Location a bit far from station "

"Easy check-in, clean, comfortable, convenient"

"The 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious, well equipped and clean. Also love the public onsen and easy access to the ski trails. The only thing to complain is the limited selection of food and grocery supplies near the hotel (no convenience stores and lack of dinner choices except hotel restaurant which is just average or 30 minutes drive to Otaru city). But overall still a good bargain at low season. Not sure about prices in high ski season though."

"Great location, walkable to most shopping and dining and museums we were interested in, clean, tasty breakfast creatively presented. "

"Nice hotel close to central city centre. The onsen overlooking the city was great. Room was quite small but comfy enough for our one night stay."

"フロントとレストランは大正時代の建物を使用しており、趣きある宿です。 宿泊棟には大浴場もあり小樽の街が見渡せて、お部屋はバストイレ別、ベッドルームとリビングルームが独立しており非常に使いやすい作りとなっています。 朝食は焼きたてのパンや牛肉の赤ワイン煮、知床鳥のクリーム煮の他、サーモンやミズダコのカルパッチョ、北海道の食材も多く使った洋食をいただきました。 スープカレーや少量ずつ楽しめるスプーン寿司もありどれも美味しかったです。 （大好きなインカのめざめも食べられました。） レストランを使わない時間に読書をさせていただいたり、お部屋でも滞在時間をゆったりと過ごせるので連泊にもお勧めです。"

"WiFi too slow"

"Nice hostel in Otaru! Owners are friendly and willing to help out any questions you may have. No kerosene heaters required although there was a small one in my room that I used for a nightstand, not sure why it was there because there was also a wall mounted modern Hitachi ac/heater unit that was quiet and worked perfectly. This was my first hostel stay so the only thing I needed was a larger bath towel that was easily purchased a short walk away. Will be back!"

"This was the best hotel experience in our Hokkaido trip! Service was top-notched and the staff was treated you with genuine care, give us home feelings and very patient even if we can’t speak Japanese. Food was freshly and delicious prepared in course for both dinner and breakfast. Private onsen is well-maintained. Definitely will stay again! "
