Bear Haven Family Friendly Show Low cabin w/ WIFI, gas fireplace, A/C

Have a weekend getaway, or spend a week or more relaxing at the Bear Haven Cabin in the White Mountains at Bison Ridge, only 3 hours from Phoenix or 4 hours from Tucson! Stay close to all city amenities while enjoying a remote feel – a true “City Girl’s (or Guy’s) Cabin”!

Breathe the fresh mountain air while enjoying your morning coffee or do some remote work on the extended gated patio deck. Four steps down to fenced backyard. Chilly day? Flip the switch to turn on the river rock gas fireplace. Central heat and air conditioning will keep you comfortable, no matter the temp!

NOTE: access is only by stair, requiring four steps up to the front entry.

Our bear-themed cabin is very clean, with NEW Hickory flooring throughout. Fully stocked kitchen (bring your own food), 2 bedrooms with pillow top mattresses on the queen beds, new full-size washer & dryer, DVD/Blu-ray player (nearby Redbox rental kiosks at Safeway & CVS, or bring your own!), WFM-friendly WIFI, propane BBQ on the deck, selection of board games. Parking in driveway for 2 cars.

We have a FULL TIME caretaker, in case you need assistance (available via phone, number posted in cabin).

Things to do:
• Sitgreaves National Forest: Bison Ridge adjoins it for easy access to numerous trails for hiking and biking. ATV’s are permitted in the neighborhood (please obey signs). Licensed Riders Only.
• Fool Hollow Lake: ~1 mile. Year round fishing, hiking, swimming, picnic areas, 4 playgrounds, boat rentals
• Show Low Lake: Our personal favorite! Noted for the best Walleye fishing in Arizona. It has yielded the last FIVE state records, including the existing state record of 16 pounds, 2 ounces!
• Community Park: short walk, with swings, a picnic area, and horseshoe pits
• Show Low City Park: 3 miles. Tennis Courts, Frisbee Golf, Playground, Picnic Areas, Walking & Biking Trails, Aquatic Center, Basketball Court, Racquetball Court, Volleyball Court, Shuffle Board, Pickle-ball. Seniors: drop in Softball games for those 50+! They have gloves & bats to use (May-October, Mondays & Thursdays 8am – 11am)
• Hon-Dah Casino: 25 minute drive. Nearly 900 slot machines, Bingo, Keno, Blackjack, Poker. Live Entertainment, Car Shows, etc.
• Bison Golf Course: just 1.6 miles away!
• Torreon Golf Course: less than 3 miles away
• Family Horseback ride through the National Forest – all year long! Ride through creeks, meadows, along the lake, and through the Apache Sitgreaves Forest (and to the Ice Caves!). 3 miles away
• Sunrise Park Ski Resort: 45 min away. Ski, snowboard, spa experiences, snowmobiling, shopping, ice skating, sledding, sleigh rides, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing (seasonal)
• Farmers Market & Art Walk: in Show Low, every Saturday during the summer

This Cabin must be in Heaven
This little Cabin was everything it was advertised to be and then some. Completey exceeded our expectations! It is furnished so nicely, comfortable furniture, beds and everything so clean. So nice to come home to after our sightseeing and other activities to relax in house or out on the covered deck. This neat little cabin made our getaway to Show Low a very memorable one

Lovely Cabin in the Woods
We rented this cabin for our daughter, her husband and our granddaughter for Thanksgiving. We live next door so it was a perfect way to have them close yet allow us some space when we needed it. It was equipped with everything they needed, beautifully furnished and well-maintained. We will definitely rent again when the weather is warmer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Haven cabin. The decor was exceptional and seemingly decorated by a professional, and the rooms cozy and comfortable. The amenities supplied were top-notch, and the property caretaker was extremely attentive and amicable. There was no hair blow-drier, as listed in the amenities, so we purchased one and left it there for future renters. We could have used some tissues, and ran out of paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper, but since we rented for such a lengthy stay, two entire weeks, we just purchased our own. We will highly recommend this rental in the future.

Everything you need and want in a cute cabin.
We loved this cabin! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything! Even 2 kinds of coffee makers. There is a washer and dryer with regular and unscented soap. The beds were comfortable and adorable, with even what appeared to be a handmade quilt in the closet. There was a cute fireplace and a little deck. The location was great, and easy to find with a Safeway and great restaurants nearby.

Brings Back Old Memories
All was in order - everything was as we remembered it last stay ;-)) It was an easy trip to get there and a bit rainy going home - but in Arizona - that is WELCOME. Bear Haven is a LOVELY Cabin - inside and out. Prepare for a learning curve with the TV's - but it was shortly Mastered, as Technical expertise exists with our team - my Wife and I. Great and FUN Trip !! It was really nice getting together with Mr. Dobbs & talking about the good times we have known.

The Bear Haven is a lovely cabin. Everything about it was pretty good except the Roku tv which I had to enter my guest information for my 3 providers , you tube tv, Netflix and Amazon prime at least 3-4 times daily. It did not keep that information even though I put a check out date of three weeks. Other than that very nice area.

Still a great place to stay
This property was owned by a couple for a number of years. It was always clean, the spaces very comfortable, and everything was well-labeled for convenient use. We were concerned that with new ownership, things might have changed for the worse (very likely, considering the high level of care taken by the original owners). Well, we were pleasantly surprised to find everything is in good shape and good order. Good job new owners!
