I loved being in a historic home which had been restored so beautifully. Jim and Kim thought of everything to make our stay comfortable down to the luxurious bath towels, and amazing breakfasts! It brought up so many memories of my own home growing up in Minden. Made my trip home absolutely perfect!

Great place to relax!
Quite, comfortable, clean; best sleep I’ve had in months. Our host and hostess were professional land friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of he home and the surrounding area. The grounds were maintained beautifully and, given the current weather and drought conditions, were very well cared for. The breakfast, and the choices, were wonderful!

James and Kim were super nice hosts! They have a beautiful historical gem! Room was comfortable and quiet for a much needed rest from a long day on the road. Breakfast and coffee were delicious served in their beautiful dining room! Great way to start the day before hitting the road again!!

Home Away From Home
This was an excellent break from my routine stay at a local hotel chain. The Huffman House was everything you would want for a guest in your own home, cozy, spacious, clean and inviting. The owners were extremely gracious and took the initiative to go the extra mile in every detail of my stay. Kim even had coffee and a to-go breakfast for me every morning at 6:00am. My guestroom was perfect with a very comfortable bed. Even the family dog was fun and loving! I look forward to coming back to the Huffman home on my next trip to Minden!

I love old houses but this one is in pretty good need of an update , pool was nice though so that was worth it but I wish they'd have least picked up the cigarette butts on the porch .

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and their owners. They were so engaging and truly thought of everything to make your stay amazing! The rooms were clean and comfy. There was coffee in the rooms which made the mornings great! The owners make an amazing breakfast and offer recommendations around town. I am sending everyone their way!!

Pleasant and quiet b&b
We were escaping a hurricane and chose this lively b&b. The hosts are delightful and very accommodating. Our room was big , pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. There is not a lot to do in the area, but this b&b is a very good place to stop if passing through.

We enjoyed our stay at Huffman House. The owner and her daughter were friendly and super accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was clean and so relaxing after a five hour drive. The room was huge and comfortable. The house is gorgeous. We will definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place with hospitable hosts
My wife and I stayed here while I was in Minden for two nights for a work-related trip. The couple who run the Huffman House (Jim and Kimberly) went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. My wife had an unexpected emergency project for her work, and after Kimberly had trouble helping my wife print files on their Mac printer, she actually went out and unexpectedly bought a brand new printer for us to use--Kimberly said they would need it and keep it for later for guests to use, but it was a gracious act which left my wife and me awestruck. So while that great act of kindness alone left a deep impression on us, everything about our experience at the Huffman House was excellent. There were exceptionally comfortable sheets (Jim said that he buys high thread count sheets when I mentioned it to him) and a delicious hot breakfast (each evening you choose among four set breakfasts and designate the breakfast time for the next morning). The hosts themselves were warm and welcoming and enjoyable to make conversation with, but at the same time were not intrusive and gave us space, and so we felt at ease throughout. I stayed in Minden previously several times for work (at the Holiday Inn Express and the Best Western), and would definitely recommend the Huffman House above all as the best place to stay in Minden, both for the comfort, the setting, the hospitality, and the unique experience. Jim and Kimberly were very accommodating, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay, moreso for my wife than for me. The accommodation was was quaint but small, which we knew in advance. The bathtub is tiny;okay for my short wife but not for me.The owner was very nice and helpful.We were with friends who were in the much larger downstairs suite, and we enjoyed the patio area where we gathered.
