"Beautiful hotel. Clearly a labour of love and wonderful to stay in a building with local history. Quiet and peaceful despite being in the town centre. Lots of great food and drink options nearby. "
"Near blickling hall. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice walks. We made use of a NT Explorer 4 day pass. Lots to do around blickling hall. Free parking."
"Great location next to the river, friendly and efficient staff. Enjoyed the singer on Friday evening. Food was good, plentiful selection for breakfast.
Despite the provision of a fan the room was still hot. In an ideal world it would benefit from Aircon
A small fridge/mini bar would also be a useful addition."
"The hotel was located in a quiet area
With good parking
The food was excellent although an offering of fresh fruit for breakfast would of been appreciated
The bed and room was comfortable"

The Lodge, Alder Country Park - a lodge that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
6/10 Okay
"Overall the lodge is nice and spacious and generally clean. However there are lots of cobwebs and the outdoor area is very tired looking and unkept, there are plastic rugs on the balcony to give privacy but they are falling apart and look very tatty, and the decking is in need of a good clean and sweep. The most unfortunate thing is the location, we had no idea the park is so close to a chicken farm and the smell in the air is awful! We had an issue when we first checked in as the fridge smelled terrible and was not working. This was dealt with but it took 2 days to resolve and the fridge was replaced. So no working fridge for the first 2 days of our stay. Also the pool area is lovely, but very limited on opening times. I got asked to get out of the pool 5 minutes before it was closing. "
"The propeety was spacious and well equipped with quality fittings and furnishing
The kitchen had everything you needed .
The access to the countryside was fantastic with a public footpath leasing to local pub/ restaurant just a stones throw away .
Will stay here again without hesitation !!
