If you want to experience living in this town but still have modern amenities this is the place! Jennifer, a host, and her staff are exceptionally attentive, welcoming and friendly people. "A beautiful, clean and comfortable property. The owners responded immediately to any questions and were so helpful.....providing me with antiseptic and bandages when I had a fall, going to a nearby restaurant and helping us order since I don’t speak German and generally being very pleasant and friendly. I would certainly recommend staying here!"

"A very nice, warm and well equipped flat. It had everything that we needed. As well as catering for ourselves we had a delicious meal at the Gasthaus. It is very handy for the train station, from where we got trains to Rothenburg and Wurzburg."

"Quaint city and the property was clarming. It was centrally located in old town within easy walking distance to the sites around old town. Jennifer was a great host and the staff at breakfast were attentive and helpful. It was our favorite location of a three week trip in Europe. Highly recommended property."

"The manager Filip was very kind and knowledgeable! The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!"

Villa Mittermeier Hotellerie & Restaurant

"We were greeted by the staff member who was very sweet and walked us through the lobby and restaurant, as well as the after hours entry just so we could find our way. In addition, it’s a very easy walk to the town center and very convenient. They also provided a treat for my dog which she loved. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return."

Some old hotels show signs of age but the owners of the Eisenhut have made sure that things are clean and new without spoiling the charm of a century’s old building . Brilliant location , very attentive staff. No cons at all with the hotel, but for info don’t follow set nav when Christmas markets are on , all surrounding roads around the hotel are blocked off .
