"Even though this might be the only hotel in town, it is an EXCELLENT choice. I’ve stayed here for pleasure and then ended up staying here for work multiple times. From the front desk greeting to the breakfast to the wonderful clean rooms, this is a great hotel! The ONLY complaint (not worthy of even deducting a star) I have is a lack of bacon every morning at breakfast. Some days have bacon but as we all know, bacon is needed every day :-). "

"Our room was right beside the elevator but we honestly didn’t hear it at all. Unfortunately our window looked out onto the roof of the lobby so we couldn’t see a thing, although it did muffle the highway sounds. We had no idea that the sea lion dock was right behind the hotel and they were LOUD. We were quite thankful to be on the highway side so we didn’t hear them from our room. "

However, having to pay a "guarantee" of $40.00 to check in early (2:00 rather than 4:00) was a bit over the top when you are looking at a mid-$300 room. We have stayed at many higher end hotels and I have never seen this before. It wasn't the dollars - it was the idea."
