"This hotel is centrally located if you want to explore Big Sur. You get free access to 3 state parks in the area if you stay here, which is nice. It's about 1 hour each way from Carmel, tho. I had a room with a fireplace and they delivered wood daily. The room was thoughtfully arranged and accessorized with games, electric outlets, mini-fridge, extra towels & blankets, etc. Friendly, clean, close to well maintained trails.
