Charming, Traditional Townhouse in Malta offering a basement level en-suite room leading directly to the garden which is shared by other guests. Located on a quiet street in central Sliema yet just a minute away from the sea, the boat to Valletta, bus stops, nice cafeterias, restuarants and all amenities.
This guesthouse has a backyard, which is sheltered from the sun by a large fig tree
Our House was designed to highlight the authentic features of a Maltese townhouse and the comforts of a modern hotel. NB : This is our largest Room but it is located at the garden level, below the house and slightly below street level, which can make it a bit humid and dark
VERY IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION : Malta is very humid (70 to 85% humidity !), please make sure you use our retractable clothes hanger outside the room on the right hand side when exiting the room from the Garden side. Specially for your wet swim suits and bathroom towels. You can also use our roof : all your clothes and towels will dry in a few minutes in the Maltese sun :)
If you keep your wet clothes inside the room, humidity levels will not allow them to dry
It is truly a lovely property, situated in an excellent location.
However, this particular room "Sliema : Maison de Ville avec Jardin (GL)" is located below street level. It is our largest room and has direct access to our yard.
It is our cheapest option and is only suitable for guests traveling with a small budget (or who only need a bed to sleep at night for a short stay). In winter it can be humid and dark in the afternoon
A communal kitchen is available to guests who wish to dine at the house.
Our house is located in the heart of Sliema, which has everything within walking distance. We’re half way from the ‘swimming side’ of Sliema (overlooking St. Julian’s) where you can find a number of beach clubs (Exiles, Surfside, Sliema Pitch, Tigne), restaurants and bars spread over this side of the promenade, and the side known as ‘Sliema ferries’ (overlooking Valletta) from where most cruises (Blue Lagoon, Three cities etc...) and the ferry to Valletta leaves, hence the name. On this side there are lots of bars, cafes, shopping malls and restaurants.
Sliema is not very large, so you can walk anywhere in less than 10 minutes and our house is right in the middle :)
On street parking is free. There’s also a open air car park which generally has space to leave a car overnight (and free) just 3 mins walk from the guesthouse. During the day, parking may be a little bit tight, due to the central location of our Guesthouse.
Our dear guests,
Malta is a lovely little island with lots of sunshine, clean waters and history, but unfortunately it has no natural resources and imports all of its energy.
We kindly ask that you avoid wasting energy by turning off the air conditioning when you’re not in the room.
If you could please also avoid taking the room towels to the beach (we can try to lend you one of our beach towels upon availability) and wiping make-up with them, it would be truly appreciated.
The last little thing - for recycling you’ll find a white bin in the covered garden area for plastic and cardboard as well as a box for all your glass bottles.
We wish you a pleasant stay with us !
