"We checked in for a one-night stay & had an interesting night. The convention rooms are large and well-connected to the hotel, and we were lucky enough to come while the Sligo Tattoo convention was on, so we both got tattooed while we stayed! Our check-in and other interactions with the front desk staff were good, but I wouldn't say they overextended themselves to be helpful. Perhaps it was simply due to the hotel being quite busy over the weekend. Adding an ATM machine in the lobby or...

The listing states “just a few minutes walk “ to restaurants, shops, etc. I’m thinking that walk would have been 20-30 minutes…and getting back would have been all uphill. The property itself was ok. Provided what we needed…but definitely furnished and equipped as cheaply as possible. It could use some new paint on the walls, or some cleaning of walls. Also to get hot water upstairs - there’s a switch on the wall in hallway. Would have been helpful to know that...
