"The room #8 I stayed in was very large and clean. I loved the wooden ceiling with the beams running across and the string lights on it. Also the fireplace. Right next to a thrift shop, a small market, and a lot of food. No complaints, everything was smooth"
"The view from the property is amazing. The staff was polite and non-intrusive. This is a nice place for quiet relaxation, not if you're looking for a lot of amenities."

"Very small room/studio for cheaper price (vs hotel/cabin).
PROs: Price was ~half of Motel 6 (Big Bear Lake) on 4th of July! Three beds. Private toilet, mini fridge. Front door access was easy to use (lock/unlock, open). The neighborhood seemed quite safe.
CONs: Very small - a room/studio attached to house. Path to entrance is dirt and somewhat slippery - walk carefully. Appeared to us that room was used for storage: there were at least 6 mattresses in the room for 3 beds. Very little uncovered floor space (ie. to walk). One member of our group thought they felt bed bugs, however I don't know how actual bed bugs could be confirmed. Bath/shower is outdoors. Microwave power cord (it appeared to us) didn't reach any outlet and thus had to be moved to plug it in. No kitchen or supplies (other than maybe some plastic forks/knives/spoons in a bag). Parking was either a very steep, narrow driveway or on the street with a slope next to it (took 2 of us - 1 driving, 1 guiding on side to park along street). Highway (18) traffic audible through open windows.
DEPENDS: If you don't plan to spend much time in the room - ie. only need place to sleep at night - then this room could be an economical choice. If you like something different than a typical hotel room or cabin and enjoy being creative with space and items, then you might this an adventure. If you want more space, more typical accommodations, then this is likely not a fit.
Thank you!"

"We were coming together for a joint graduation weekend. Grandparents, Aunt, Uncles and cousins. We came from Michigan, Utah, San Diego and Ramona. This was a great place to gather and visit. The cousins especially enjoyed the hot tub.It was 10 degrees cooler at there rental than down in the valley where we had the actual graduation party. The windy road up the mountain was beautiful."

"Javier was a great vacation rental owner, and his communication with us was great. The check-in process was very smooth. The cabin interior is just as described. I will say one really great thing for the beds. They were super cozy and comfy and I hope Javier tells me where he bought the pillows and duvet from lol thanks Javier for a good stay."
"We loved staying at The Squirrel’s Nest for the weekend with my family, it was very cute and cozy, the kids had a blast building a snowman and exploring. Very quiet when we were there which I can’t complaint we needed that peace. Will definitely stay here again. "
