We stayed at this property right before Christmas. Pros: 1. Very walkable to main area in Solvang but far enough where you don’t get the crowds 24/7. 2. Service was great — the staff was quick to respond to our requests (plates and cutlery, kettle, robes and slippers). We also had to cut our stay by one day due to an emergency and they were very accommodating. 3. My husband, who can be hard to please when it comes to food, really enjoyed the meatballs at the V Lounge. Their cocktails are also really good. It’s a great choice especially as restaurants in the main area of Solvang can sometimes have a long wait at peak times. 4. We appreciated being able to bring our dog into the hotel with us! 5. Fridge and microwave in the room made our stay really convenient. Areas for improvement: 1. As far as we could tell, there was only one ice machine in the property, and it was unplugged the day after we got in. 🙁 2. There was also only one water dispenser for reusable water bottles, and I kept wondering what the cleaning schedule was for it. 3. The hallways and rooms seem slightly dated, but not too much where it was off-putting. This hotel is a great choice for folks who want to check out Solvang. Would definitely consider staying here again if we find ourselves in the area again and need a place to stay. The town itself is really busy during the holidays, so be ready for that especially if you are not a fan of crowds.

The location is excellent, room was nice, has onsite parking, is pet friendly, has nice amenities, in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Hotel sent helpful information about area attractions ahead of our stay. Front desk staff were adequate, some were very nice and welcoming. Bar staff was so rude and inattentive we left and never returned.

We had absolutely amazing time at this hotel. While we were checking in, super friendly Marsy greeted us and made us feel home. Should I mention mimosas? And we got a bottle of wine as a fist in our room. During the stay we had an emergency on the New Year’s Even however we were saved by Tor who immediately resolved our issue with high level of diplomacy and politeness. A nice surprise for the morning of the New Year - some sweets and juice in the lobby. Many thanks to the hotel for the hospitality! We will be back again!

Good location at one end of town, friendly reception staff and large room tho a very noisy fan that you couldn't turn off and ceiling lights only over the entrance area which made it a bit dark by the bed with only side lamps. Parking available tho need to kick the Tesla's off the charger points to give others a go!

We arrived a little after 3pm. Room wasn’t ready until 4:15pm. One of the bedside lamps and the clock/radio were unplugged. The heater was very noisy and the temperature inside the room never reached the set level. We were informed that there is no housekeeping service for two-day stays, but that we could request trash take out or a change of towels. On check-out day, while making sure nothing was left behind, we opened one of the drawers and saw a pair of jeans. They weren’t ours, so we assumed they belong to the previous occupants of the room. The fact that they weren’t removed before we were given the room raised concerns as to how well the room was cleaned. We brought this concern to the staff when we checked out, all she said was she will inform housekeeping. We told her that we left the jeans where we saw them. Later in the evening, we got a call from the hotel saying that we left a pair of jeans behind and asking us what we wanted to do with them. We explained again. Again no apologies. We were told that whoever we reported the problem to earlier didn’t make a note of it.

A convenient, no frills, hotel within walking distance of Solvang’s Main Street, this place is super dog friendly. The V Lounge, connected to the lobby, offers a cozy spot for drinks and small bites. While the staff are friendly and attentive, the hotel itself could benefit from some updates. The Alma Rosa suite, in particular, appears a bit outdated and would benefit from additional remodeling. Free underground parking is a plus.

Great location, very walkable to and from the shops and eateries, but is not in the middle of it all. So, we mostly avoided the traffic. Clean, spacious rooms. Very friendly front desk. Free coffee (and tea) 24 hours at the lobby. We stayed for 3 nights and were always worried about running out of parking spots. But we always found something. We were told that if we didn't, we could park on the street just out front or even the 15-minute (or was it 5? I forget now) spaces within the property. We didn't have to use either one. The only baffling thing was that there was no ring towel by the sink. So, we didn't have anything to hang the hand towel on.

Front desk staff were AMAZING. It was very busy and they were the epitome of grace under fire. The rooms were clean. Great parking, close to town. We walked everywhere. The rooms were NOT quiet. Housekeeping staff and hotel guests were loud in the hallways.Screaming children and barking dogs at all hours. You can hear doors and drawers slamming. I will not return to this hotel due to lack of quiet.
