"We stayed for a week, trains easily accessible into Munich centre and shopping areas. The only thing that let it down was cleaning and changing bed sheets is done every 7 days and if you want it done sooner you have to pay to wash sheets yourself. The pillows were very uncomfortable and the bed was just two single beds pushed together with a single duvet each which in my opinion does not match the price you pay. "Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. Staff were great. Location is close to train station and easy to get to main attractions. I felt safe walking alone to and from hotel in evenings though i was usually back to the hotel by 9pm. Trams run past hotel which light sleepers may hear."

Everything Was Great.

"The service at the hotel, especially the front desk, was outstanding. My first day I arrived at about 11:30 am, due to the flight arrival time, but they allowed me to check in early. And throughout my visit, the front desk personnel assisted with train tickets and arranging a tour for me. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side, but it was just me and my trip wasn't about staying in the room so I didn't need a lot of space. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and - unlike most hotels in the US - there was housekeeping service every day. The hotel is centrally located to everything and just a couple of blocks from a train station. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with my stay and experience with the Platzl Hotel. "

Great find, Great Front of House Staff

"What a great find in Munich. First off, it's only a couple blocks from München Hbf (Munich Central Train Station) and from the Old Town where you'll see most of the tourist spots. The room was perfect sized for us with a nice walk-in shower. The biggest plus was the staff manning the front of house. Even though check-in/check-out is automated, the front of house staff was unbelievably helpful with getting us the layout of the hotel and of our neighborhood. Highly recommended!"
