Casa Luna Verano is a spacious 2 bedroom plus den home in a quiet, country neighborhood just ten minutes away from the Sonoma Plaza. The entire house including the kitchen and 3 bathrooms were renovated between 2019-2022. There is a beautiful pool, hot tub and patio area with outdoor daybeds for lounging. It's a perfect base for exploring Sonoma wine country! Note: Pool is solar heated; generally comfortable temperature from late April to mid October (dependent on sunny weather).
The great room has large window walls that can be opened up for the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living. The chef's kitchen includes refrigerator, microwave, gas cooktop, double ovens, a warming drawer and dishwasher; full set of dishes, pots, pans, glasses and barware. You'll usually fine basic pantry items as well (oil, seasonings, etc). If you use a pinch of salt, no need to replace it - but if you bake a cake, please replace what you use from the pantry!
The pool is surrounded by oak trees, lavender, and creeping manzanita. There's a pool shade structure with a series of comfy day beds, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or reading a book, once you've had enough sun for the day. The back patio offers al fresco dining with a view of golden grasses, hundred year old oak trees and the Mayacamas mountains framing Sonoma Valley.
We wanted to sleep well in our home, and you will too! The master bedroom and the den each have a high end king size mattress (Tuft and Needle and Keetsa memory foam); the other bedroom a queen size Tuft and Needle. Note to European guests: these are US mattress sizes, King= 193cm x 203cm; Queen= 152cm x 203cm. All feature high thread count cotton sheets, feather pillows and blackout shades, to help ensure you have a quiet and dark bedroom as long as you want to sleep.
A high BTU gas grill is available on the patio. The formal dining table has comfortable seating for 12, the maximum number of daytime guests permitted by our Sonoma County vacation rental permit. There is high speed Internet, and a smart TV in the primary bedroom with common apps and Chromecast (no cable). See notes about Sonoma's noise ordinance in the "House Rules" section.
