Do you yearn for relaxation and peace on your vacation?

Then start your day in the gazebo with a cup of smooth local coffee or a cappuccino, watching the sailboats glide along the sea (under a double rainbow if you’re lucky). After a breakfast of local fruit and homemade pancakes, slide into the pool and float, warmed by the Caribbean sun, surrounded by cashew trees and brilliant bougainvillea, with the postcard-perfect panorama of the Pitons and the Caribbean stretching across the horizon.

Have Doxie's pumpkin soup for a delicious light lunch, then pack up our snorkel gear and head to Anse Chastanet beach (less than 10 minute drive away) for an afternoon snorkel. Return to the villa to watch the sun set over the Caribbean in streaks of brilliant pink and orange while you sip local spiced rum with ginger ale, then dine on Doxie’s meal of grilled freshly-caught fish marinated in local seasonings with a salad, rice, and chocolate cake (from local cocoa, of course).

As the sky deepens to deep purple velvet and the stars emerge, take our Bluetooth speakers outside and listen to your favorite music while you talk with your companions, or just sit in awe of the beauty. Look up to see the inky black sky with billions of stars and the Milky Way flowing across it (when is the last time you saw the Milky Way?) Watch for shooting stars. Then sink into our comfortable Simmons BeautyRest mattresses and sleep deeply in the quiet, with just the breeze rustling the leaves and the singing of the tree frogs as a lullaby.

Or perhaps your ideal vacation is adventure and thrills?

Get up as the first fingers of dawn creep down from the mountains, grab some snacks and fill up our thermoses with water - you're headed to climb a mountain! Get a guide at the Anse L'ivrogne beach for the 2600-foot hike/climb or make it a little easier by starting higher up from Fond Gens Libre. Prefer SCUBA diving? Go out with Action Adventure Divers (“Chester”). ATV’s more your speed? Head to Choiseul for an ATV ride through the rainforest and chase each other along black sand beaches.

Whether you want to just relax or be very active, or a mix of the two, our friendly staff will help you have a memorable vacation. They’ll keep the villa clean, help you plan your activities, and anything else you need to make your vacation truly unforgettable. Hotels offer meal plans and tours and driver services, and we do, too - just inquire for details and pricing.

We’ve stocked the villa with adventure gear for you (beach chairs and towels and umbrellas and blankets, coolers, snorkel gear, etc.) and have WiFi throughout the villa with Alexa and Amazon Music Unlimited to make your stay even more convenient!

FAQ:

Staff:
Just like at a hotel, the staff must be in, on, or near the property most of the time. If you hire Doxie to cook for you, she has to do that in the villa. You may not tell the staff to leave the property or prohibit them from entering the villa for extended periods of time that interfere with their maintenance duties. You may ask them to give you as much privacy as they can while still completing their chores. Housekeeping and pool maintenance are performed daily.

Cooking/meals: Cooking services are extra and are from $12US to $25US to cook a standard meal for up to six people. Doxie also offers an option where she does the cooking and provides the groceries. Ask for pricing and details.

Privacy: Doxie is the only staff person that will be in the villa for more than a few minutes. If you prefer privacy, simply ask her to step outside when she is done or request that she does her indoor chores after you have left the villa.

Privacy and cooking services: You'll have to give up some privacy for cooking services, as meals are prepared in the villa kitchen and it's an open floor plan. Doxie usually comes up in the morning but cooks dinner in the afternoon, and she does not have a vehicle so she can’t go home and return when it’s time to cook. At your request, she will wait outside after completing her morning chores until it is time to cook. If you prefer as much privacy as possible but still want dinners made, we suggest you have her cook dinners on days when you are not in the villa.

Driver: We’re happy to provide you information on the driver’s pricing – please ask. If you wish to hire him, just let us know – you do not need to contact him yourself.

Insects and other creatures: We have mosquito-control traps and treat regularly for other insects. It is a tropical location, and the house is open-air (no glass over the windows) so there will be a few insects and other creatures (geckos, anoles, birds and occasionally a bat or mouse). Minimize flying insects by turning off all the lights inside the house at night if you are outdoors or closing all the doors at night if you are inside.

Air-conditioning: Given the open nature of the house, including interior walls that do not go to the ceiling, the air conditioning in the bedrooms will not be able to cool the rooms. They blow cool air on the beds to make sleeping a little more comfortable.

Welcome pack: We include a complimentary welcome pack of food and beverages, enough for a happy hour and a light dinner. We supply local Green-Gold coffee and a selection of teas for your stay. We can pre-stock the villa with other groceries upon request - inquire for price and availability.

Children: The villa and grounds pose inherent dangers for young children, including 220V outlets up 18 inches from the floor, chemicals stored in places children can access, and a 30-foot drop from the back railing to the forest below. Our staff’s duties do not include watching children, although they can arrange a babysitter for you at an extra charge.

Great stay in St Lucia
What a wonderful vacation! From the very first email booking the trip to departing for the airport, the service and overall experience exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck is incredible. Doxie and Junior take great care of you while you are there. This is a trip we highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay in St. Lucia! The view was fabulous and the home provided everything we could want, including the best cook (Doxie) and a fantastic driver, Billie Bob.

Beautiful holiday in St Lucia
Villa Grand Piton is spectacular, the view is breathtaking, it is quiet and peaceful. The Villa is incredibly well equipped, Loretta has thought of every detail, and that makes a holiday so enjoyable. Doxie was so helpful, and we enjoyed several of her dinners, she remained quietly in the background and kept the house clean and tidy. Doxie is amazing!

1st time in St Lucia
A beautifil villa with the most spectacular views! The villa came with a driving service and a cook if you chose to use them. We did! The road up to the villa was a bit brutal, but worth it! It was so private and restful there. The villa was well appointed with everything we needed. Very spacious and comfortable. Had a fantastic TV room with cable so we could watch the playoffs! So enjoyed our accommodations!

Amazing experience to match a breathtaking view!
Loretta was a 5-star host. She was very organized. She provided a ton of material prior to our stay to help plan ahead. In addition, there was everything you could ever need at the villa, along with a friendly staff. I hope to visit again sometime, as the view was truly out of this world. Everything was exactly as explained and photographed, not gimmicks.

Bliss at Villa Grand Piton
Bliss...the one word that truly sums up our experience at this fantastic villa. Location : an unbelievable vantage point with the best views on the island for sure. The view is a jaw dropper and we just never got enough of it. Villa : airy and bright, super comfortable and generously provisioned. Staff : efficient and polite, they make everything you may want possible. Our week here passed in a flash. Mornings on the beaches below us and then back to our gorgeous villa in the afternoons : to spend the rest of the day in the pool and drinking in the views : which get better and better as the evening draws near. Cant wait to be back

Just finished our stay at Villa Grand Piton and first visit to St. Lucia. In a word, marvelous! Since we had never been to SL, we took a bit of a chance on location of the island and residence or resort. We could not have been more pleased. The Villa is definitely 5 star. The staff and arranged team (driver, tour operator and cook) are superb. The owners have thought of every possible need and stocked well. Other than a rough road ride from Soufriere to Villa, I can’t think of an improvement needed. One of the few times we actually may rebook same spot in the future. Highly recommended.

Loved it!!!!
Our family had a wonderful time at the Villa Grand Piton. The Villa is very spacious and well-equipped. The view is absolutely gorgeous. My family loved having meals in the gazebo, especially when the birds came to visit everyday. Relaxing in the pool at the end of an adventurous day was one of our favorite pastimes. We highly recommend hiring Junior’s car service. They were very helpful in arranging activities and they were very accommodating. Doxie was a wonderful cook and very knowledgeable. We have rented many villas from home away in the past, but we have never experienced such a well- organized host as Lorretta. All of her information was accurate, and her response time to questions was better than high end resorts.

Relaxing family vacation
Amazing property with breathtaking views. From the first communication with Loretta I knew we were in good hands. She was quick to respond to my questions with helpful advise. We felt so at home with Doxie, John and Kerryus each day. The pictures don’t do the view justice. It is amazing. Doxie’s rum punch is the best and she had fresh mangos every day. Kerryus roasted cashews fresh off the tree. And Billy took care of getting us anywhere we needed to go. If you are thinking about renting a car, don’t. The road is not for the faint of heart. Junior and Billy know what they are doing and do more than just get you where you need to be. They are guide, translator, concierge, and don’t-hassle-my-guests sentry all in one. Great week. Best vacation!

Paradise
Our trip to St. Lucia came about after other plans back in the states fell through, and Villa Grand Piton cemented our desire to travel to the island after reading about the Villa, its reviews, and looking at the photos time and again. We cannot say enough about this place, the environment we called home for a week, and the staff. Doxie’s meals were incredible, Junior and Billy entertained and advised us about excursions while driving us around the island, and Kerryus picked cashews off the tree and roasted them for us! Amazing. The peacefulness of Villa Grand Piton is beyond words. The wildlife sounds will melt away any tension that you might bring with you, and the birds will literally eat out of your hands. St. Lucia should be a vacation destination for those who wish to get away, and Villa Grand Piton is the benchmark for a perfect vacation. Great Villa, wonderful people, and should you elect to dine out a couple nights as we did, two amazing restaurants nearby in Boucan and Dasheene. Just go there and be amazed.

Breathtaking!!!!!
From the moment we arrived the service was 5 star all the way! Junior greeted us at the airport and made sure we were all ready, the owners actually greeted us when we arrived along with Doxie who by the way was so fantastic! The home is stunning and the views every morning, afternoon and evening are like nothing you can put into words. The beds were so comfortable, accommodations they thought of everything! They have towels for the beach, the sulphur springs, chairs for the beach... you name it they have it. Having Doxie to shop for us when we ran out of things and cook for us when we needed it was next level. We hired Junior and his team to drive us everywhere we needed to go and I highly recommend you do that as it is so much easier to have the drivers. Junior also was a concierge getting us a captain and a boat for a day trip to the north end of the island for shopping and lunch. This was out of 13 Caribbean islands we have visited the best trip so far. We brought my 75 year old mother as well and they took such great care of her and it was a trip of a lifetime for us all. I can't say enough great things about the home and the entire staff. I highly recommend utilizing Doxie and Junior! Thank you Grand Villa for the best trip so far of my life. We will definitely be back!!

Breathtaking views from a beautiful home.
Loretta and Bill have thought of most everything. This large three bedroom, three bathroom house has everything you could need from basic toiletries to chargers to travel mugs to a good movie for a night in. Each of the bedrooms has a bed fan, slats on the windows and doors that can be adjusted to allow ventilation, a fan and an wall AC unit. All of the reviews about the noise traveling through the house are accurate. The wall of doors open up to a stunning view of the water and the Pitons. Once outside all stress melts away. Be prepared to share the patio and house with a few friendly birds. They don’t hesitate to fly into the house and hang around the kitchen when the doors are open. Listen to the advice locals give. It is accurate. Close the house doors before dark to keep unwanted pests out. Do not rent a car. Gros Piton is a moderate to strenuous hike. Doxie is lovely and her meals really are as good or better than the local restaurants and she is happy to cater to your needs. Junior (the taxi driver) was extremely reliable. Overall, the property is beautiful and the house was a perfect retreat for us for the week.

Best View on the Island
The Villa is really beautiful. The view was beyond anything I could have imagined. The home is large and spacious. The main problems were that the driver did not show up at the airport to pick us up, as planned. Another driver who knew our driver was able to work it out for us. After a period of waiting, we made it without trouble. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Delicious rum punch was waiting upon arrival. The view, as stated, is probably the best in the island. We loved Doxie's cooking. The only problem with the house was the noise. It has the open air ceiling design (which I am sure is to help with airflow), but it leads to being able to hear EVERYTHING- someone going to the bathroom, conversations, and more;). We were 2 couples and a single friend. It was definitely limiting for our group since there seemed to be no chance to be intimate with your spouse, but I can imagine a family with kids or another group dynamic this house would have been perfect- better than perfect. I would definitely stay here again with a different group makeup, but would not recommend for a group of "couples".

So relaxing our vacation slowed down!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa! The view is amazing. Waking up every morning and opening the 4 large double doors to that view was a great way to start our day. All of the staff were very helpful and nice to have around. They were very accommodating and would show up when we asked them to. A couple of days we wanted a later start and that was not a problem. The Villa has everything you can imagine you may need and more. It was so great not to worry about anything. Beach bags, Sun hats, pool and beach towels, snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, outdoor portable speaker you can take to the beach with a bottle opener built in to open your Piton Lager Beer, and much more. More on the staff. We had Doxie cook us 3 meals during our stay. It was great to come back to the Villa and have dinner cooked and ready to go when we were ready to heat it up. We all agreed that Doxie’s food was the best food we had all week. There was not one thing we did not love. Some of the favorites were her pumpkin soup and fish fingers. We had her other “squash “ soup and it was amazing as well. One night she grilled bone in chicken with bbq sauce and that was delicious and a nice change from all the Caribbean flavors. We decided once we got there not to rent a car and use Juniors service to get around. He was very helpful with helping us plan our days. We felt so relaxed and taken care of that our vacation seemed longer. Highly recommend!

Fantastic villa, Spectacular View
We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Grand Piton! It exceeded all expectations. The villa is situated at one of the highest points on the island and has the absolute picture-perfect Piton view. There is plenty of outdoor seating in both sun and shade to capitalize on the spectacular setting. The villa itself is large, beautifully maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The staff (Doxie, John and Paul) was extremely accommodating and kept everything running smoothly. There was a generosity of spirit that extended thought the villa and in every interaction. Dealing with Loretta was a cinch, the welcome basket was incredibly bountiful and provided everything we needed for the first day or two. Taking advantage of the free taxi from the airport is highly recommended. We then had a car delivered to the house the next day by Drive -a -Matic. We did not find driving on the island to be too challenging except for the stretch of road right up to the villa. Going slowly and having a 4 WD made it very manageable. Given the spectacular setting , we did spend much of our time just relaxing at the villa. We bought fresh fish in town from a local fisherman, stocked up on fresh produce from some street vendors and ate wonderful meals in the gazebo watching the sun set and stars emerge. We are very frequent villa-renters and have travelled extensively. This villa stands out for its great setting, high standard and ease of rental. We have already recommended it to friends.

Amazing views! We had to be dragged away!
My sister and I needed a break from our NH winter! We did a ton of research and landed on this gorgeous home. From the time we got out of the taxi and saw the view we were hooked. The house is well appointed and the beds very comfortable with beautiful views from the guest room and plenty of seating outside for our meals and lounge chairs by the pool. We LIVED outside! We used Jr. 's taxi service and he was wonderful! He knows the area very well and he took us on a tour around the island ($100 US plus tip) and we stopped at Diamond Falls, a volcano (could have skipped that!) and a beach where we walked and looked at the boats and beautiful scenery 🌴 Jr took us back to the airport ($80) and took my sistet to the store for grocery shopping ($40) The ride to the house from the airport is about an hour and very rough. Unless you have been to St. Lucia before done try to drive. We were so grateful that we were told not to drive. Although the ride was a little rough it was worth every bump in the road once we arrived. Lots of big fluffy towels, a great movie selection as well as tons of books to read by the pool with your drink of choice. Doxie, our housekeeper for the week, made a wonderful rum punch that we enjoyed at sunset almost every night We were never hot as the breezes up on the hill were very cooling, but there is AC in the bedrooms if needed. We had a few challenges while there and Doxie was a big help, even giving up her day off to help us with the grill. We also had an issue with the safe and she fixed that within 10 minutes! She will be your go to person for everything you need. One of the things that appealed to us about this house was the jacuzzi tub, but it wasn't working while we were there so we were a little disappointed but it did not dampen our enthusiasm about our entire experience. The welcome basket came in handy as we were tired from traveling most of the day. Loretta was a wonderful host and checked in with us our first full day to make sure we were happy. We had a great vacation and I'm sure you will love your stay as well.

All about the view!
The view on this property is the best on the island. It was an absolute delight to experience it on a daily basis. My boyfriend and I loved watching the boats and ships cruise around. It was also a joy to watch the weather roll in and out over the Pitons. Truly, we were wonderfully grateful to have booked this listing for the beautiful view. We realize the value in the property for the price. It was just the two of us but for a family, the price would be hard to beat. There were some details of the property that would inspire use to book elsewhere. We found the cleanliness of the house and overall upkeep in need of extra love and attention. Both my boyfriend and I own rental properties and have managed vacation rentals before, we understand general wear-and-tear but some details should be corrected and upheld for the standard of a rental. The staff were lovely, we appreciated the convenience of having built in help and care available. There were times we felt like we were sharing the home that infringed on our ideal of privacy. Having the luxury of a housekeeper on-site daily was great but then we would end up sweeping up or tidying up ourselves anyhow. Food in the island was subpar. We found Doxie's cooking to be outstanding by comparison and enjoyed many meals made by her enjoying the view. The only restaurant we really loved was Rabot at the Hotel Chocolat. A bit pricey, but right up out alley. The architecture of the house we found to be a bit odd with the walls only partially up to the ceiling. This allows noise in the house to travel easily. For my boyfriend and I it was alright, but we imagined having other friends or family there and what that might be like. If you are the first one or last one awake, you'd need to tip-toe around to avoid disturbing others. Perhaps this isn't an issue for most guests but something to consider when booking. The road leading up to the house was quite the experience. We got used to it throughout our stay. Going to the beach is $45 roundtrip using Junior's transportation, which shocked us at first but we understand why and would have spent what we did or more on a rental car. The beach down the hill (Anse Chastenet/Anse Mamin) were great, peaceful and quiet. The snorkeling there is fantastic! Overall we had a lovely time at the house and a great vacation.

Wonderful anniversary stay
My wife and I decided to travel to St. Lucia for our 17th anniversary. After looking at different resort and VRBO options, we decided to stay at Villa Grand Piton. We could have been more pleased with our choice. The house offers outstanding views and an excellent staff. We saw countless rainbows that made the already beautiful view even more incredible. Doxie was exceptional, as was her rum punch and cooking. I don't think you could have anyone better at her position. Neil brought us fresh coconuts one day to drink by the pool. Junior was not only a great driver, but he also provided great insight on things to do. I highly recommend hiring him versus renting a car. The roads are difficult in spots, and it was much more relaxing not having to worry about it. I feel the cost difference between the two was nominal. We stopped to eat at the Reef on the way in. Their sailfish and bakes were excellent. We also stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few drinks and mixers. The welcome basket had more than we anticipated. It lasted us a good bit of the week, as we ate out and had Doxie cook for us a few times. The house has pretty much every amenity you can imagine, from various snorkel masks, to beach chairs, to mosquito protection, to a computer with printer (for airline tickets), to large TV's. There is a cold water dispenser in the house, so there is no need to buy extra water at the store. There literally is no stone left unturned when it comes to the thought put into this house rental. Loretta is available and responsive to any needs or issues. Anse Chastenet/Jade Mountain/Anse Mamin is down the hill from the home. I recommend checking the cruise ship itinerary before going there. Two chairs and a hut are only $30. On a non-cruise day it was very pleasant. We were told that Anse Mamin had the best burgers on the island. It was surprisingly one of the best burgers I have had in a while. Sugar beach is a short drive over between the pitons. The chairs there are more expensive (about $100), but the service was pleasant. I can recommend Ladera, Mango Tree, and Boucan. Boucon was the best food in our opinion. The other two were excellent as well, and provided amazing sunset views. You will not go wrong in choosing this house... Amazing views, great staff, responsive owners. You truly could not ask for more.

Incredible villa with a magical view of those Pitons
We have rented many villas in the Caribbean, but this villa has ANYTHING you can possibly need - every kitchen gadget, appliance, tool, beach umbrellas and chairs and snorkel equipment, toiletries, paper products, cleaning, emergency repair, everything. Beds are very comfortable and the whole villa is neat and clean. The view of the Pitons is magical. Just relaxing on the veranda looking out on the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea is the epitome of relaxation (and the envy of all your friends back home). Loretta is a most gracious host who will answer all your questions, provide you with information on Soufriere, restaurants, things to do and see. Doxie is so sweet and kind-hearted and John and Paul take care of the rest. Best meals: Apsara at Anse Chastanet, Orlando's and Captain Hook's. Best beach: Anse Chastanet's beach. Some things to consider: (These in no way ruined our trip nor should they stop you from renting this extraordinary villa. They are things that the owner has no control over): * the road up to the villa is not just bad, it's AWFUL. You must have an SUV or forget getting up the hill. If you make trips in-and-out daily to sightsee and go out to dinner, the rocking and rolling of the roads does weigh on you. * we experienced a lot of noise from the houses below the villa from Friday afternoon through Sunday night. It was non-stop and we had to use the fans, air conditioning and ear plugs to blot this out to sleep those nights. **I don't know if this occurs every weekend, but did for us in early December. * the open ceiling concept of the villa is beautiful with the architectural details of the ceilings. However, it also means that sounds travel around the villa. (Example: if you are in the kitchen you can hear anyone in the bathrooms of the two neighboring bedrooms and what they are doing in there.) If you are sharing the villa with another couple, your level of modesty may come into play. (NOTE: Loretta is addressing this with the addition of radios in the bathrooms to help mask some of the sounds.) Again, NONE Of these items are things that should stop you from staying at this villa, they are just things you may want to be aware of. In conclusion, do not hesitate to stay at Villa Grand Piton. It is a beautiful, incredibly special place to spend your holiday. Many thanks to Loretta for letting us use your lovely villa. We hope to return some day.

Unmatched
Planned a Christmas, graduation, get away trip for the family. We want someplace safe, memorable and beautiful. Well all three metrics were met easily. The entire process from booking till drop off for the return trip was first class. Hated to leave!!!! Doxie, Junior, Billy, Kerryus were just unbelievable and a true pleasure having their flawless work make our stay memorable . We miss the delicious meals waiting for us in the evening. Can't say enough about the great experience we had. Thank you so much Loretta for your responsiveness and sharing your property with us for a week. Can't wait for the next time we can visit. Maybe even have the chance to have our Navy son join us so that he to could share the unpatched please of the Villa Grand Pitton. Well done!!!

Villa in the Heavens
We are a family of 5- the house was perfect for us. We even had an extra bed if needed. From the moment we hit the airport with our pre-arranged pick up to the moment we got to the house, it was fantastic. Bear in mind if you are prone to motion sickness, the roads in St Lucia are not for the faint at heart - very twisty and turny. Once we got up the steep mountain we were greeted by Doxie who takes care of you at the villa - we had a delicious traditional meal of Roti waiting for us along with a festive beverage. The views from the Villa are breathtaking - better than the pictures. The Villa has every amenity you need for your stay - When they say to pack just your clothes, that's all you really need! There is everything imagineable at the Villa. We even weathered thru Hurricane Beryl - felt very safe in the storm. It was a great game and movie day. And let me tell you about the extensive video library - WOW - very impressive! Can't wait to come back!
